Cpu September 12, 2016 for Model Number WF316BAW/XAA I was told by your representative that the Water Guide Assembly is the part that contains the SilverCare strip of metal in it. (Code indicates that we have used it more than 3000 times so it should be replaced.) So I ordered AP4210944 (order # 6892874) and now I am going to call a repairman to come out and do the job (since they couldn't get the part). I just want to verify first that this is the correct part and also ask whether the explosion diagram 23 (control panel/housingdrawer) should be sufficient for him to figure out where this part goes to complete the repair. Mike May 19, 2014 for Model Number WF306LAW/XAA Error code nF displays. T/S reveals that cold water/rinse causes error. PCB voltage & freq. checks are sat. It is either the dual cold water valve @ hose connection or could it be the Deter Dispenser DC97-10417A? I ask as the water pressure into the bleach side of dispenser is almost non-existent. Also, there is a small black hose that has H2O that connects to dispenser and the soap, bleach, softener dispenser side. Is it possible to take hose fm inlet valve directly to soap dispenser, run a diagnostic check to see if H2O pressure is at full strength or not? I don't want to guess which or if both parts are faulty. The DC97-10417A is very expensive relative to a valve cost. Please advise. Thanks!!
1 Answer Mike, You would not want to check the screens first on the water valve. IF there is water getting through but very little then that is the most likely cause for the screens to be clogged. If the screens are good then the water valve would be the issue. Read More...

1 Answer Bill, You will want to pull out the detergent drawer and look inside the dispenser housing at the top. There are ports at the top of the housing that you will want to make sure that it is clean and the ports are not clogged. If clogged it will cause the issue of the unit not dispensing the fabric softener. You will also want to check to see if there are any error codes stored by putting the unit into a diagnostic mode.
