The freezer compartment in my Samsung RF217 gets down to -20F, even with the temperature setting set to 8 degrees. Now the freezer temperature display blinks, indicating the system doesn't think the freezer has reached the set temperature. I've already replaced the freezer cabinet temperature sensor, but that didn't fix things. The refrigerator compartment has also begun to freeze things (usually stuff low down and in the crisper drawers), even with the temperature set to 40F. Does this sound like I need to replace the main control board? Or is something else wrong? Thanks!

1 Answer

John, If the refrigerator is getting too cold and the units sensor has been replaced then this will likely be that the board is not reading the thermistor properly and would need to replace the main control board.

my frig keep frosting up. I have replaced heater element and sensor, temp sensor and the frost sensor which is everything in the back of the frig. I'm now working on replacing the PCB board and I'm having a heck of a time locating the correct board new. My board is a DA41-00694A and the only one I can locate new and not from ebay is DA41-00695A. are these the same part? image does look the same but I just don't feel comfortable purchasing on the image only. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Frank, With this issue the most likely cause for this would be a faulty dispenser control board.

I replaced the Ice Maker Assembly and my ice maker still will not dump ice automatically! I was talking to your really nice lady on the phone and she said it could possibly be the PCB assembly part # ap4588631. Where is this part located? Looking at the back of my fridge I noticed a water line goes into a flow thing and wires go into a plastic box. Is this where it is? It looks like a lot of removal of lines to change this any video for this?

1 Answer

Chuck, Unfortunately there is no video for the removal of the control board. The plastic box does hold the control board but if you just remove the screw holding the water valve, pull water valve out and slide out of the way without disconnecting water lines and then remove the control board. Remove the casing and disconnect wire harnesses. and install new board.
