Phil July 20, 2020 for Model Number Samsung wa50k8600aw/aa Hi, I have a Samsung model wa50k8600 aw/aa and have recently replaced the mems sensor since it flashed a code 8C. My top load washer is turning on and selecting cycles on the machine works but when I hit start it begins to make the normal draining noise or calibration noise and gets to the part where it would put water into the drum but instead of putting water in repeats the draining or calibration noise and eventually flashes code 8C
1 Answer Phil, There are still several checks to make before you replace more parts. Check the wiring harness between the new MEMS sensor and the sub PCB. Then Check the motor Winding Coil unplug the connector and read resistances at any two of the three terminals on Motor Should be 19.3O. then check the DC31-00098A / DC31-00098A Rotor Position Sensor and wiring. If all checks are OK, check the wire connections, and replace if necessary, Replace the Mems PBA if all checks are OK. Read More...
Alan July 05, 2020 for Model Number Samsung Top Load Washer Model WA5471ABP Samsung Top Loader. Model WA5471ABP When spin cycle begins with 7 minutes on timer, spin cycle does not complete and it returns to rinse cycle with 17 minutes on the timer. This process repeats until switched off. Washing machine is level and does not vibrate, tub looks centered when empty and also remains centered when water is put in tub to the level of the agitator. This problem occurs with any size load but DOES NOT occur if it is run without any load at all, the cycle will go past 7 minutes on the timer, will go into fast spin, drain and switch off. I have also put the machine into the test mode and the drum will reach 1030 rpm. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
1 Answer Alan, It would be suggested to get the tech sheet from inside the unit and run a service diagnostic mode. It sounds likely that there is an off balance issue going on but if there are any errors it will tell you where to check for the issue. Read More...
Davy May 19, 2020 for Model Number general function of mems sensor What is the function of a mems sensor in a washing machine?
1 Answer Hello Davy, The mems sensor is basically a vibration sensor. It tells the control board that the machine is experiencing and out-of-balance condition. Read More...
Jeff April 29, 2020 for Model Number WA50M7450AW/A4-00 I've replaced the MEMs senor and the Hall sensor but this machine still won't run correctly. It starts the spin cycle and before it even really starts the spin the control panel blanks out then comes back on adding time and then starts filling up with water. The tub barely moves before this happens. It's only 3 years old. Could the dampers be going out already or is it the control?
1 Answer Hello Jeff, check that the washer is not losing power from the outlet when it blanks out and all wiring connections at the control board are in place. If all check ok replace the main control board DC92-02003A. Read More...
Fernando April 07, 2020 for Model Number WA50M7450AW/A4 Hi guys, I'm getting an 8C error code on my Samsung washer immediately after filling with water, then it pumps the water out and starts all over again repeating the process over and over. I already check the connections on the wiring to the MEMS sensor but still having the same issue. I was reading on other websites that can be multiple problems; can you please advise how to proceed.
1 Answer Fernando, Since the wiring has already been checked and there are no loose connections then this would be caused by a faulty MEMS sensor and if this does not correct then you would replace the Main control board. Read More...
Ryan April 05, 2020 for Model Number Samsung wa48j7700 My washer (Samsung wa48j7700) intermittently fills, drains, agitates, and spins, but won’t complete a full wash. There is some inconsistency in how it behaves or when exactly it decides to stop working, but most often it stops at some point during the rinse cycle. Sometimes I get an 8C error, and other times it just stops, drains, and the time remaining stays on the readout. I have visually checked all the wires and connections underneath the tub (including MEMS sensor) and up at the control panel, and everything appears clean and connected. I then checked the voltage output at the 6 wire connector from the MEMS sensor, and all were within .5 - 4.5V DC, the red was 3.34V DC. So does this mean I need to buy a new control board? Is there anything else I should check before making that expensive purchase? Perhaps the wire harness? I’m unsure how to check for continuity in the wires when one end is underneath the tub, and the other end is up top behind the control panel. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Ryan, the symptoms and fault code point to a communication problem between the mems sensor ,the user interface board and the wiring between, since you have eliminated the sensor and wiring then the user interface board should be replaced, however, to be certain we advise you on the correct board part number we would need the washer's full model number. Dennis April 02, 2020 for Model Number wa48j7770ap/a2 Washer fills with water for about 1 minute drains immediately and continues this cycle over and over unless I turn it off. In diagnostic mode my code is 8c2. I replaced mems sensor, I checked continuity for the harness, I checked voltage from the sensor, I replaced PCB oh, and I replaced sub PCB. I still get code 8c2 and the same thing happens when I start a cycle. I don't understand how this is possible but I pretty much wasted the amount of money it would have cost to buy a new washer.
1 Answer Dennis, based on the information provided, as the main control DC92-01021V, user control DC92-01624K, and MEMS sensor DC93-00278B have been replaced the only other possibility would be that the terminal connectors of the wire harness DC93-00579B are not making full contact with the terminals either on the MEMS sensor or the main control. It is recommended that the wire harness is tested (with unit unplugged) for this by using a marker to mark the pins on each connection point, plugging in the connector, then removing the connector to identify if the marking comes off. If a marking is not removed, then this pin is not making full contact. The terminals will need to be thoroughly cleaned after this. Read More...
Carlos March 26, 2020 for Model Number WF45M5500AP/A5-00 I have replaced the MEMS Sensor and checked continuity on the wires going to the Control board from the Sensor and they checked out good. I'm still getting the error 8C1. What else could it be? Thank you for your help.
1 Answer Carlos, WIth the Mems sensor having been replaced and the wiring checking ok then the issue will be a faulty main control board. Read More...
Paul February 10, 2020 for Model Number Samsung top load WA50F9A7DSP/A2 where is the Samsung DC93-00278B Assy Sensor located on this model?
1 Answer Paul, TThe MEMS Sensor DC93-00278B / DC93-00278B Assy Sensor; mems Sensor, is mounted to the bottom of the outer tub, on the right side in the area near the clutch assembly switch. Read More...
Aaron February 01, 2020 for Model Number WF520ABP/XAA Getting rear MEMS sensor error. I ordered DC93-00278B. To replace this, do I remove the top of the washer, or the back, or both? Also, some web sites have commented that it's often a bad wire rather than a bad sensor? Is that easy to check if I have a multimeter? And if so, can I just do a wire repair without replacing the sensor?
1 Answer Aaron, the mems sensor would be accessed by removing the top panel of the washer. The wires can be checked for continuity and repaired as necessary. Read More...
