Rick O. July 18, 2017 for Model Number WF350ANR/XAA When I installed the new gasket DC69-00804A and tighten the bolts down all the way the inner tub won't turn or spin. The two halves are then prohibiting the inner tub from spinning. I need to loosen the bolts somewhat in order for the inner tub to spin but I do that I'm concerned water will then leak when all put back together. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Rick, This sounds like an issue with the unit reassembly. I would check the main bearing assembly and for the possibility of an item between the tubs. I'm sorry but this will involve a complete teardown of the unit to locate the cause since it sounds like the spin basket is sitting too close to the front of the inner tub assembly, possibly caused by a spider, (spinner support) DC97-15478A, issue. Eric May 05, 2016 for Model Number Model # WF350ANW/XAA Serial # Y09354AZ202540N I have a couple questions. 1) The pipe fitting from my old gasket is much bigger than the hole on the new gasket. Do you know if there is a different fitting that goes with this gasket? I think I might tear the gasket if I use my existing one. 2) Tub Deal DC69-00804A (AP4212809) The tub seal on my old washer seemed very flat vs. the new one I received. In between all of the bolts the tub seem to flex and does not make connection with the other part of the tub. Is this normal? Seal was put in correctly and sat nicely in groove all the way around. When tightening the bolts the tub does not compress the seal completely for a nice seal. Could there be a different seal? Let me know and I appreciate your help. Eric
1 Answer Eric, There would be no other fitting that would go with the gasket and you will want to make sure that you got the correct gasket. As for the tub seal there is not a different seal and you have to make sure that you tighten the bolts so that the seal compresses. The reason the old one is flatter would be due to the fact that it had been sitting there compressed. Read More...
