Rick M April 06, 2016 for Model Number WF520ABP/XAA I have the Samsung WF520ABP washer and while the door closes fine and appears to create a good seal, the locking mechanism continues to click trying to lock the door until I physically hold the bottom half of the door. I don't see any obvious damage to door and it's done this since day one but we never got around to repairing under warranty. Does this sound like a simple replacement of door lock (DC64-00519B) would resolve this issue?
1 Answer Rick, If you have to lift the bottom of the door slightly to get the unit to operate and lock then it would be recommended to check the door hinge to make sure the door is not sagging slightly. If it is not then the door lock could definitely be the issue. Read More...

Chris January 01, 2016 I have a Samsung front load washer. I ordered a catch/lock to install. After removing the rear panel, there must be an easier way to replace this part..Do I need to remove the door and seal or open the top panel of the unit ?
1 Answer Chris, The best way to replace the lock assembly would be to open the door and remove the gasket from the front panel and push inward out of the way. Check the wiring between the control board and the door lock for damaged wires.
