Melissa May 02, 2012 for Model Number RB195BSVQ Where can I find a diagram or something on how to replace this part?
1 Answer Hello Melissa, Remove the panel at the bottom of the rear of the unit after you unplug the unit from the wall receptacle. The main control board is in the plastic box, (some are grey and some are off white). Usually there is one screw, (1/4 inch hex head), and the "box" will slide out from "keyhole" type slots. Unplug the harnesses and install the new control DA41-00293A in the reverse order. Read More...
Dave December 29, 2011 for Model Number RB215LASH Refrigerator and freezer works after plugging it in, but when temp. Is made or satisfied it wont come back on again and temp read out wont change it will show cold readings when it is not. If you unplug for awhile and then plug it back in it will cool down once and then comp. Wont start again ,temp will show cold.
1 Answer Hi Dave. It sounds like it is time to replace the main control board part # DA41-00293A. It is encased in a plastic box beside the compressor area. Make sure that you ground yourself to the frame chassis and do not touch the inside of the control board with your fingers. Static discharge is approx. 30,000 volts. This will wipe out a board very quick. Use gloves and note the wire connectors . Take a cell phone picture if needed. Thank You. Read More...
