Questions & Answers

For Samsung Refrigerator Lcd Pcb Assembly Kit (Part Number: OEM12417402)

1 Answer

No repairs should be completed without unplugging the appliance. This is especially important for electronic parts as plugging in can cause a surge and damage. Not to mention the risk of death from electrocution.

George, this is most likely caused by the user interface causing the unit to go into a power freeze mode. If the compressor operates for 2½ hours after turning the ice maker on, then this would be the case and the user control DA41-00264A would be the most likely cause as it would be sending improper signal voltage to the main control.

Randy for Model Number RB195BSVQ

The power in my area recently was off for about 5 hours. After this event, my ice maker no longer makes ice. The display on the front of the refrigerator is set to make ice, but nothing happens. I can manually make ice by pushing the black button on the ice maker, but after that the ice maker does not automatically make ice. The display on the front of the refrigerator has been slowly fading over the last few years. If the display goes bad can that be my problem even if it says to make ice? What should I look at to diagnose this problem?

1 Answer

Randy, It sounds like you have 2 different issues one being that it sounds like the icemaker is faulty but the display dimming would be the second issue and will need a display control.

John, They may look the same, but they aren't the same The DA41-00264A / DA41-00264A is the correct display board for the model number you supplied. The DA41-00264D / DA41-00264D display has different circuitry, is used for a export model refrigerator, and is not interchangeable.

Ed R, The display not lighting all the numbers would indicate a bad display board unless any of them are flashing which would be an error code. As for the other issue of freezer temp will check the sensors in the freezer and if they check ok then would be an issue with the main control board.

Jay for Model Number RB195BSBB

The control panel display on the front of our Samsung fridge is not showing numbers, only a couple of dashes. If the food is not on the bottom of the freezer, the food does not freeze thoroughly and the fridge seems to freeze food fine. Eggs, things on the top shelf freeze. We are not able to adjust the control panel with the buttons. Looked at the back of the panel, no burnt spots or loose solder connections. Just an easy replace the panel problem?

1 Answer

Jay, Based on the issue that you are having it sounds like this issue would be caused by a faulty main control board. Even though there may not be a solder joint that is weak a component on the board could have failed and wound need a new board.

Ronnie, You will want to check the connections at the main board to ensure that they all have a good connection. Also look at the original board and there will be a number on it. Check to see if the board matches the one installed. This would be the most likely cause of a mismatched board.

Jeremy Cooper for Model Number Samsung RB195BSSW

Problem may be two-fold. Firstly, the display panel is on the fritz and only displays partial numbers. I assume I need a new panel for this. The second issue is that the freezer temp seems fine (no thawing foods) but the fridge department seems to either be cooling intermittently or set to too high of a temperature (I've noticed the milk spoils easily). I'm thinking with a control panel I can read, I'll know if there's a secondary issue. Should I start with the just control panel or does it sound like something else? Thanks.

1 Answer

Jeremy, It would be best to go ahead and change the control panel but in the mean time would suggest checking the unit for a possible defrost issue or a sensor that may have be bad.
