Frank August 02, 2023 for Model Number RF261BEAEBC/AA Just defrosted fridge yesterday. Usually once a month. Fridge section only freezes up. Set at 34 degrees and reading around 44 degrees. Took off back panel, and there was frost and ice from middle of coils up.There was solid ice around the freon line (the copper line ,I assume). So , I have heard that I may need a new temperature sensor for the fridge section . The freezer section seems ok . Set at 5 degrees ,and reading from 0 degrees to 7 degrees . So , is this new temperature sensor for me? thank you
1 Answer Frank, You should use a multimeter and check the temperature sensor for the proper resistance and replace it if needed. Read More...
Luann August 01, 2022 for Model Number RB195BSSB Looking at your diagram for my Samsung model RB195BSSB it appears that the ice tray/maker section of the freezer must be removed to install a new thermo fuse, is that correct? It appears that your video shows a model where it is located in the refrigerator section. Just want to make sure I am interpreting this correctly. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Luann, the defrost thermal fuse is located on the evap coil, depending on the ref design it may have single or dual evap coils, the video shows it being replaced in the fresh food section's evap coil,. Yes, on your model the ice maker would need to be removed before the freezer evap coil defrost thermal fuse can be replaced. Read More...
Michael W. July 09, 2021 for Model Number RF28HFEDTWW/AA The temperature sensor for the evaporator defrost function requires replacement. Please tell me the part number so I can order the part. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Michael, The fresh food evaporator defrost sensor is DA32-10104N. The same one DA32-10104N is used in the freezer evaporator compartment. Read More...
Will March 27, 2021 for Model Number RF260BEAESR/AA-0001 I'm getting E33 code. Cannot set fridge or freezer temp. What does E33 mean and how to fix?
1 Answer Hello Will, the fault code E33 code refers to an open reading on the freezer ice maker water fill tube heater that is usually about 102 ohms when checked with a multimeter. Read More...
Gd February 19, 2021 for Model Number RF26BEAESR Fridge was freezing food in the upper portion of the fridge compartment. Replaced the sensor that is clamped on the coil behind the removable panel. Turned back on got an error code E2. Cleared this by resetting the panel. Front panel tells me the fridge is at 30oC but measured temp inside fluctuates between 0 and -8oC (set to 7oC). What should I look at next?
1 Answer GD, Is the fan motor running? If it is not then this would be the issue. Also, check to make sure that the thermistors are reading the proper resistance at the control board. It is a possibility that the issue could be a faulty control board if the resistances are good but not running or possibly not going through the defrost. Read More...
Ryan October 29, 2020 for Model Number RF263TEAESG/AA The food inside the fresh food (both top and bottom shelves) is freezing. Which sensor is responsible for the temperature inside fresh food? The sensor behind the rear cover inside fresh food (DA32-00011C) or the sensor inside the damper assembly? Also could it be a short inside the control board causing it as well? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Ryan, fresh food section temperatures are monitored by the thermistor behind the fresh food rear wall air tower cover. Read More...
Ethan August 19, 2020 for Model Number RF28HDEDBSR/AA Hi, Less of a question and more of a success story and thanks. My Samsung RF28HDEDBSR/AA refrigerator started to freeze things on the top shelf like the eggs and cans of coke. The refrigerator would some times blink '36', but a power cycle would get it to go away, however, everything was still too cold. I replaced the main (DA32-00011C) and defrost (DA32-10104N) temperature sensors and everything is perfect now. Cleaning the refrigerator out and wiping down the shelves took longer than replacing the sensors! Thank you Appliance Parts Pros!! Your videos and can-do attitudes make all the difference Ethan
Marti June 23, 2020 for Model Number RF22K9381SG/AA The fridge section the upper half seems to be working fine. The last time I checked it the fridge was set at 34 F it displayed 34 F and actual temp according to my IR measure was reading 37.9 F. seems OK to me. Now the freezer is a different story it set at ( -4 F) it displays (-4 F) but the actual temp is actually 40 F on one side and 32.8 F on the other side. the coil doesn't appear to be freezing over as it would be if it was low on Freon, the fan runs... please guide me in the right direction ..I am thing there is a bad temp sensor in this thing. by the way there is only one compressor in the unit...
1 Answer Hello Marti, unfortunately what you are describing is a sealed system problem, there are several sensors in this model however the control would have displayed a faulty sensor code on the display if that was the problem. You would need an appliance technician to test the sealed system further. Read More...
Ron January 30, 2020 for Model Number RF31FMESBSR/AA-0000 The freezer is set to -8 and the display states it should be -8 but the actual temp is 38. The fridge is set to 38 and display says 38 but the actual temp is 50. The display does not seem to function correctly as I can’t enter self-diagnosis (holding top left and right buttons for 10 seconds). There are occasional tones that appear to be random which I assume occur when the unit is trying to do something. I’ve checked the coils and cleaned them but all looks good underneath. The fan between the coils and condenser is working. There is about 1 tsp of water in the drip tray, I assume this is water but it is possible it is a very lightweight oil. No leaks or notable frost. I have unplugged the unit for 10 minutes and after plugging in the display shows the correct internal temps 38/50 but oddly the displayed temps slowly (over an hour time) went down to -8/38, as if the unit was cooling but the actual internal temps did not change from 38/50. I am leaning towards the temp sensor and or one of the mainboards or a relay? I don’t want to assume it’s the condenser. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
1 Answer Ron, With the unit warming up but apparently running you would need to take a look at the evaporator coils inside the unit behind the rear cover. I would suspect there is not a frost pattern from the top to the bottom of the evaporator telling us there has been a leak in the system. You would then need to call a licensed refrigeration tech to diagnos and repair. Read More...
Bill January 04, 2020 for Model Number RF263TEAESR/AA My Samsung Refrigerator is displaying a blinking 34 deg on the fridge section. I tried to reset it by trun on and off the power to the fridge but still showing the blinking 34 deg. The freezer is showing -3 deg if I touch the freezer button. Can you tell me what component needs to be replaced or how to determine what needs to be replaced? Thanks.
1 Answer Bill, This is a dual evaporator unit and this issue may be caused by warmer temps in the refrigerator. Check the evaporator coil to make sure that it is not frozen up and that there is a good frost pattern. Read More...
