Zig March 15, 2024 for Model Number dv42h5200gw/a3 I believe My propane dryer needs to have the gas valve replaced. Is there a propane conversion kit available? If I can reuse the old one are instructions available?
1 Answer Zig, the LP kit DC99-00792A can be switched over to a new gas valve by unscrewing the limiter and the orifice, then moving them over to the new valve. Read More...
Wendee February 24, 2023 for Model Number DV42H5200GW/A3-00 I need to change my dryer back to NG. Is the orifice available? And do I need anything else ?
1 Answer Wendee, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list the natural gas orifice separately from the gas valve DC62-00201A. Aside from this, nothing else would be necessary aside from adjusting the air shutter on the burner to 3/4 open. Read More...
Marty December 07, 2021 for Model Number DV42H5000GW/A3-0000 The repairman has replaced the thermal fuse, thermistor and the thermostat. Dryer still overheats and burns out the thermal fuse. Is it possible that the gas valve is not functioning properly and not shutting off? If not the gas valve could the main control board be bad.
1 Answer Marty, it would be recommended that the dryer ventilation, to include what runs to the outside of the house, is cleared as a clogged vent is the most common cause of this failure. If the vent has been cleared, the main control DC92-00669Y would be the cause of failure if the flame turns off with the dryer. Read More...
Jason January 01, 2021 for Model Number Samsung DV350AGW/XAA I am troubleshooting my dryer's lack of constant heat. All items are testing good and I'd like to attempt to change out the gas valve coils (instead of the whole valve). Could you advise on which coils I need to purchase?

Brix October 27, 2019 trying to replace my samsung gas dryer solenoid coils model#DVG52M8650V/A3. why is it that mine has 3 solenoid coils? and i find it hard to find replacement for the third one.
1 Answer Brix, we would not know as to specifically why the manufacturer has designed this valve with three coils aside from as a possible extra safety measure. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list the solenoids as being available separately from the gas valve DC62-00201B. Read More...
Attila September 15, 2019 for Model Number DV45H7000GW/A2 Hi so this dryer turns on the igniter gloves and the flame comes on for 3-4 seconds and it shuts of.I think the coils in the gas valve are bad but this model looks like you have to change the whole gas valve or you can change the coils to? Attila
1 Answer Attila, Before purchasing the coils try to unhook the exhaust line behind the dryer and try running the unit like that for a couple of minutes and see if anything changes. If you still have the unit shutting the flame off then replace the set of coils. And yes, the manufacturer does not list the option to only buy the coils, therefore, we are unable to suggest otherwise.DC62-00201A Read More...
