Marty for Model Number DV42H5000GW/A3-0000 The repairman has replaced the thermal fuse, thermistor and the thermostat. Dryer still overheats and burns out the thermal fuse. Is it possible that the gas valve is not functioning properly and not shutting off? If not the gas valve could the main control board be bad.
Answer Marty, it would be recommended that the dryer ventilation, to include what runs to the outside of the house, is cleared as a clogged vent is the most common cause of this failure.
