Brogan for Model Number KUCC151LSS0

Will this part fix the issue with the compactor banging and needing to be shut off manually? It still compacts but makes this terrible banging noise. I have a chart that shows a Momentary Start Switch towards the bottom of the unit. It gives some steps for troubleshooting and states that this could be the cause. We have already replaced the top limit directional switch which did not help. So based on what I have read, it seems that this switch might work. Can you confirm? Thank you.

Brogan, Yes, the momentary start switch could be the source of your issue, as well as the motor centrifugal switch. if you have a multimeter you can check the momentary switch , when you press the lever it should have a "closed " circuit, release the lever and the circuit should close(test it several times) if it checks OK, replace the motor switch W10439651 Thanks and Good Luck

Hello Chris! Unfortunately, with the economy rising as it has it seems that some our prices, as well as our competitor prices, have raised a significant amount. We do still offer a price match if you are capable of locating a lower price with a major online competitor. Thanks.

Hello John! I do apologize you have continuing issues with your compactor. We are showing that the actuator/off switch W10342596 has been redesigned by the manufacture. Perhaps the new switch will correct the issue of the part continously breaking. We do have a one year parts warranty on all of our parts. If this part is to break within the next year contact us and we will be happy to send you a replacement at no charge. Thanks.
