John S. April 14, 2012 for Model Number kucc161lpa0 Thanks for previous answer on flange for stasrter switch, however there is no way the flange in that new starter kit for $25 is even close to the old one which is simply a 2.5" piece of metal with a 90 degree angle in an area large enough for two small screws to go. Where can I get this rather simple design that has worked on mine for 10 years????
1 Answer Hello John. It is no longer manufactured and that is the reason they sell the kit and you must install all the parts in the kit W10342596. Hope this helps. Read More...

Brogan October 03, 2011 for Model Number KUCC151LSS0 Will this part fix the issue with the compactor banging and needing to be shut off manually? It still compacts but makes this terrible banging noise. I have a chart that shows a Momentary Start Switch towards the bottom of the unit. It gives some steps for troubleshooting and states that this could be the cause. We have already replaced the top limit directional switch which did not help. So based on what I have read, it seems that this switch might work. Can you confirm? Thank you.
1 Answer Brogan, Yes, the momentary start switch could be the source of your issue, as well as the motor centrifugal switch. if you have a multimeter you can check the momentary switch , when you press the lever it should have a "closed " circuit, release the lever and the circuit should close(test it several times) if it checks OK, replace the motor switch W10439651 Thanks and Good Luck Read More...

Chris May 03, 2011 I bought 3 of these on 3/1/2010 for a total of $17.91, from you. Two have broke & the third was installed last night. If the price was $17.91 for three about a year ago, how has the price now doubled for just one? It doesn't make sense.
1 Answer Hello Chris! Unfortunately, with the economy rising as it has it seems that some our prices, as well as our competitor prices, have raised a significant amount. We do still offer a price match if you are capable of locating a lower price with a major online competitor. Thanks. Read More...
John S. April 29, 2011 for Model Number kucs03ftpao Just ordered "actuator" for this compactor AGAIN. The net is full of questions from people who have this part (ap4701307) and it keeps breaking. Is there a fix for this other than just replacing the whole compactor? Thanks in advance, John S.
1 Answer Hello John! I do apologize you have continuing issues with your compactor. We are showing that the actuator/off switch W10342596 has been redesigned by the manufacture. Perhaps the new switch will correct the issue of the part continously breaking. We do have a one year parts warranty on all of our parts. If this part is to break within the next year contact us and we will be happy to send you a replacement at no charge. Thanks. Read More...
