Melissa December 09, 2017 for Model Number cdt835ssj2ss Can this glue be used on the INSIDE of the dishwasher door to secure a cover vent for a GE dishwasher? Not sure if this is food safe or not or if it recommended for inside dishwashers at all. Thanks.

Mike H December 21, 2016 for Model Number WJRR4170E3WW I just replaced the tub seal (main seal) on my GE top load washer. It was recommended that I use some FSP Adhesive 279368 on the sides of the seal. My question is how long should I let it cure before using the washer? Is there a recommended cure time? thank you, Mike
1 Answer Carl, You would not want to use this adhesive on a icemaker. If this is an ice machine that needs to have insulation put back on it and the insulation is on the outside of the unit then yes this could be used. Read More...
Fred November 09, 2016 I ordered the felt gaskets for the front and back of the dryer drum and didn't realize that the adhesive is a separate order. Will 1 tube be enough for both the front and back felt?
1 Answer Fred, Yes one tube of adhesive should be enough to do both the front and back felt for the unit. Read More...
Michael L April 14, 2016 for Model Number N/A Purchased Adhesive 279368 to reattach felt to dryer screen worked awesome. My question however, is I used it to attach a ceramic hook to a painted shelf to hang a washer hose on when washer not in use. I got I got some adhesive on the shelf and would like to remove it without totally destroying the paint on the shelve. Is there a solvent that might or will work for me...Thanks.
Maria February 18, 2016 for Model Number MDG6700AWW I have a front load gas dryer it is about 10 years old. model MDG6700AWW, serial number 10610049GN. If you open the door and look at the back of the dryer, the round felt seal has started to fall off. Apparently with this particular model you can not buy the felt seal separate. You have to buy the whold drum assembly and either replace the whold thing or take the felt out and replace it. The felt in the dryer now is not in bad shape just needs to be put back in. My questions is, would it be safe to use adhesive 279368 and put a bit around the seal and push the felt back in? One of the part places I called suggested this and said to make sure the adhesive is for high heat. I thought if you could advise me on this adhesive I would feel better using it. Thanks
1 Answer Maria, To reseal the felt seal is not a bad idea and the adhesive that you would want to use is W10841140 which is a high temp adhesive. Read More...
Adam S November 16, 2015 for Model Number Maytag Bravos Washer I am using the Whirlpool gear replacement kit. In the procedure it shows the use of Pliobond adhesive around the seal. The procedure does not mention any cure time. In fact, it sounds like the machine can be used right away after adding the adhesive. Can you please confirm if a wait time is required after putting this adhesive on the seal? Thanks
1 Answer Adam, You would want to allow the unit 8 to 12 hours before using it to allow the adhesive to cure. You can do a test run but allow the time to fully cure before use. Read More...
Doug October 30, 2014 for Model Number MNDV210AEW/XAA - Samsung Dryer Can I use the felt drum Seal Part # AP3790434 to repair a Samsung Dryer felt that has come off front of drum?
Al March 30, 2014 Whirlpool 279369 adhesive. Will this work on the back of the refrigerator where the harness and Freon lines come through the liner? I have a minor water leak coming from this area. Factory used black sealant which hardened over time. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Al, You should not use adhesive since this would make servicing the harness and/or Freon lines non serviceable. You should use permagum WR97X140 or silicone sealant WP482338. Read More...
