Lino January 28, 2012 for Model Number KGRA806PSS00 Looks like this is a common problem when self clean is being done. The thermostat part #8300802 overloads, shuts off the panel and the door is locked. Now my question is after I replaced the thermostat and made the oven working again, I noticed that the OFF button is not working. Is there a way to fix this OFF button without replacing the whole Membrane Switch? Thanks.

Chuck January 01, 2012 for Model Number KitchenAid KGSA906 My oven (a KGSA906) began displaying the message F2E0 - Stuck Key. After a struggle finding the screws holding the end caps in place I was able to replace the Electronic Oven Control. With the new control unit in place there is no error message displayed, but the number keys do not work (the first thing the unit does on power up is to ask me to set the time, which is hard with number keys not responding), and when, after bypassing setting the time I try to turn the oven on by pressing Bake, it immediately goes into timed baking mode, telling me to enter either cooking duration or end time. When looking at the ribbon cable leading to the user interface, it seems to be cracked, with some plastic peeling off of it. Do I have a bad replacement Control unit, or is the problem with the Membrane Switch, either instead of or in addition to the Control unit?

1 Answer Hello Joe. 1. Unplug range or disconnect power. 2. Turn off gas supply to range. 3. Remove the two grates from the top of the range. 4. Pull the range forward so you can access the two end cap screws. 5. To remove the electronic oven control (EOC) assembly on slide-in models: a) Pull the knobs off the gas valves. b) Remove the two screws from the sides of the end caps. c) Open the oven door and remove the indicated screws from the bottom of the control panel. d) Pull out on the bottom of the control panel, unclip the top edge from the bracket, and rotate the control panel forward so you can access the components. e) Disconnect the wire connectors from the electronic oven control board at P1 and P2, and the ribbon cable connector at P40. f) Remove the four screws from the electronic oven control housing, and remove the assembly from the control panel. NOTE: The EOC boards and the housing are replaced as an assembly. a) Remove the electronic oven control assembly. b) Remove the four machine screws from the control panel mounting brackets, and remove the user interface WP9756559ES and its bracket. 1 Answer Hello Anthony. Test the fuse W11700559 and see if it is bad. It should read closed for continuity. It is located by the control board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Andy October 05, 2011 for Model Number KGRA806PSS02 There are a total of 8 screws on the bottom lip of the control panel; 4 across the center and 2 each on the left and right side (but still under the front panel, not on the sides). They have all been removed yet I cannot get the panel off. It rotates forward and up somewhat but then immediately comes into contact with the shafts of the control knobs stopping me dead in my tracks.
