Charles February 18, 2013 for Model Number kgsa906pssoo My electric ignitators don't work. I had an technician out and he told me at the time that the circuit board was bad and needed replacing. He said this is something I could do to save money. When I called him two days later he told me that I needed to order sensor probe and contol panel. Does this sound right to you? The technician when I called him back act like he couldn't remember what he had done for me. Don't want to order something I don't need. Thanks, Charles
1 Answer Hello Charles, Using a multimeter you can determine which part has failed. You can do a resistance check on the oven safety valve. There are 3 terminals on this valve. The middle terminal is common. If you test each coil with the wires off the terminals check from bake to common and broil to common. The resistance value should read 216 ohms. If it does not then the valve is bad and would cause ignitors not to work. If the resistance value is good then you will want to test with the oven on and gas turned to the off position for 3.2 to 3.6 amps on the ignitor. If there is not 3.2 to 3.6 then the ignitor WP8054129 is bad and needs replaced. Also check the gas valve WP9763716 to see if there is 3.2 to 3.6 vac and if there is not then the spark module WPW10331686 is bad and needs to be replaced. Read More...

When you peel the paper off, there is super sticky stuff under it that will hold the part in place. Bob February 16, 2012 for Model Number KGRA806PSS02 I am having the same problem as Andy. I remove the 8 screws from the bottom of the panel, but I cannot access the screws behind the end caps. How can I get to those?
1 Answer Bob, Based on the "R" in your model number, you should have a "free standing" range. This should help " To remove the electronic oven control (EOC) assembly on freestanding models: a) Open the oven door, and remove the screws from the bottom of the control panel . b) Remove the two cooktop trim screws. c) Slide the cooktop trim back to expose the end cap screw, and remove the screws (1 on each side). d) Perform steps 5d, 5e, and 5f to remove the EOC assembly. 5d) Pull out on the bottom of the control panel, unclip the top edge from the bracket, and rotate the control panel forward so you can access the components. e) Disconnect the wire connectors from the electronic oven control board at P1 and P2, and the ribbon cable connector at P40. f) Remove the four screws from the electronic oven control housing, and remove the assembly from the control panel. Remove the two grates from the top of the range. 4. Pull the range forward so you can access the two end cap screws. 5. To remove the electronic oven control (EOC) assembly on slide-in models: a) Pull the knobs off the gas valves. b) Remove the two screws from the sides of the end caps.c) Open the oven door and remove the four screws from the bottom of the control panel.d) Pull out on the bottom of the control panel, unclip the top edge from the bracket, and rotate the control panel forward so you can access the components.e) Disconnect the wire connectors from the electronic oven control board at P1 and P2, and the ribbon cable connector at P40. f) Remove the four screws from the electronic oven control housing, and remove the assembly from the control panel.
