William Dere January 10, 2021 for Model Number Kitchenaid KS55 My mixer goes to fast when moved to speed position 1. I cannot fix it by using the 2 screws on the speed control plate. 1 Answer William D, The model number listed is not coming up but if there is a speed control plate then it would be the most likely issue but could also be an issue with the phase board if the unit has a phase board.
