Nancy S Sandusky , OH March 12, 2014 My kitchenaid mixer would not shift speeds properly I took it apart and could determine where the problem was. The service rep I talked to on the phone was so helpful! She really took the time because the model and parts were hard to match up on this mixer. I was actually so pleased when I got the part and reassembled my mixer. Her tip on taking a picture of the wiring first with my phone was great. Thank you! Runs perfectly Read More... 17 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
R. P Shorewood , WI July 09, 2016 Appliance: KitchenAid 6 Qt. Stand Mixer Epicurean Bowl Lift KT2651XWW3 Speed control knob broken off board assembly of a kitchenaid epicurian mixer I purchased a replacement assembly from Appliancepartspluspro.com Upon inspection of new part I noticed there were only 6 terminals for the 8 wires I needed to connect. After much investigation by their tech support person Ali, it became apparent that my old part was discontinued and no longer available. The new part was the correct replacement but now I had to figure out what to do with the 2 extra wires. I labeled all of the wires and the terminals on the the old part. After moving wires, one by one, to the new board I was left with P1 and a wire from a micro switch. Obviously the switch was no longer functional with the new board. As for P1 I surmised it was no longer needed due to updates to the circuitry on the new board. Checked all connections and fired the mixer up. Voila !!! It worked perfectly at all speeds for over an hour. I left the obsolete P1 and micro switch tucked away inside the mixer head just to be safe. Special thanks to Ali for his patience and determination in solving my dilemma. James W Bronson , MI September 08, 2020 Appliance: Model RKG25H0X ER KITCHEN AID MIXER The speed control was erratic to not working. I took the speed control board off of the mainboard and took it to my shop and cleaned the slider area with contact cleaner and blew it off with compressed air. It works great and the new slider board that I purchased will be used as a spare because this is the most used part on the mixer and it will be a problem at sometime in the future.
