For Whirlpool Control Panel Assembly (Electronic User Interface) (Part Number: OEM18051129)

Al for Model Number JES8850BAS

The center of the left front (small/large) burner will not come on when I turn the control know to turn on only the small burner, but if I turn the control knob to the turn on the small burner with the outer burner ring, only the outer ring turns on. When I pulled the control panel off to check the control switch and connections, all appeared fine. After reassembly, the center burner still doesn't work and now the keypad to set the clock, oven, etc. doesn't work correctly. If I press either 2,3, or 4, the display shows "234" and if I press the "Enter" button, it sees it at pressing it twice.

Al, This issue with the burner will be caused by a faulty burner element. For the issue with the control you will want to double check the ribbon connector at the control board. If the ribbon connector is seated properly and clean then the control panel would be the issue.

Harlan, You're on target. The key pad circuits have started to degrade. Usually due to ammonia based household cleaners, but check the oven door at the top to make sure the door seals and there's no excess heat escaping from the top of the door onto the control panel. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks

Hello Brian! Yes, the control panel WPW10206079 is the manufactured replacement to the original panel used on model JES8850BAS. Unfortunately, we do not have the specs to verify the difference in the two panels or to verify the improvements made. Sorry about that!

Pierre for Model Number JES8850BCS

Hi, The buttons on of my control panel do partially work. When I press the set up buttons, the option for the clock shows up, but when I push the arrow button, nothing happen. When I push the convect button, the words convect and bake show up, but nothing happen when I press the arrow for more options. The range surface elements do work properly, so are both timers, the warm surface and the warm drawer. The oven light doesn't work either. When I push the buttons back and enter at the same time, the door locked for cleaning and do unlocked when I push them again. The word continue shows up and when I push on that option, nothing happen. I would apreciate some advice regarding these matters ! Thank you Pierre
