Jay J February 10, 2014 for Model Number wfw9050xwoo The washer wouldnt work and the trouble shooting section didnt help, took the basket strainer out and a large amount of oil came out any thoughts
1 Answer Jay, This unit has no capability to have oil. There is no oil in this unit. The oily substance that you may have seen is if you use a liquid fabric softener then it can gum up and look oily. Any other information we would need to have a description of what is going on with the unit. Read More...
Jimbob January 06, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool (washer) WFW9150 Hello, How do I replace the baffles on my Whirlpool 4.0 WFW9150 washer. The baffle number is 8540360. Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Jimbob! You will need to remove the top off the washer and there is a black hose in the top of the outer tub. You will remove this hose and see if you can access the baffle screw. If so, you can remove the screw, and the baffle WP8540360will slide out of the tub assembly. If not, you will need to remove the tub assembly from the unit, and separate the two halves to access the screw and change the baffle. Hope this information helps you. Thanks. Read More...
Mike December 31, 2013 for Model Number GHW9150PW4 HI, We are now experiencing (after 6+ years of frequent use) a jumping vibration during the spin cycle. I cleaned out the pump basket and inspected the 4 tub dampers (shocks). All these dampers are showing signs of oil leakage. I pulled the back of the dryer and inspected the pulley/bearing and all this in fine condition. I tried to move the pulley laterally also but has no free movement. Rotation is smooth and clean. The inner drum rotates freely and cannot be moved laterally without the outer drum moving as well. I assume this bearing is fine. This morning we noticed water in the Drum….I again pulled the basket strainer and this was found to be full of grey coloured shavings (same colour as the 3 baffles. These baffles are all clean. Washer works fine except for mentioned vibration/knocking. What do you feel may be the problem? I am ready to order 4 new shocks but the grey shavings have me slightly concerned. thanks…Mike
1 Answer Mike, The issue would most likely be caused by bad shocks in which the drum getting off balance can cause a rubbing effect and cause the shavings. Read More...
Perry December 26, 2013 for Model Number MFW9700SB0 I have a Maytag Front-Load washer and I need to replace the baffle 8182233. Is a screw required to replace it and if so how do I access the inner drum?
1 Answer Hello Perry. It does not show a screw for this baffle. To access, you will remove the tub assembly from the cabinet and then split the two tub halves to remove the inner basket. Most of these baffles will unsnap from inside the drum assembly. Read More...
Old Lady December 19, 2013 for Model Number GHW9150Pw1 I have whirlpool duet washer bought in 06 it goes thru the cycle but clothes are wetter then normal makes noise when spinning
1 Answer Old Lady, If it is a loud, grumbling, growling, rumbling, type noise when the washer is spinning and the tub doesn't get to a very high rpm, to extract the water from the clothes, the issue is most likely a failed tub bearing. This would require a rear outer tub assembly W10772617 in order to have the bearings (it only comes as a complete assembly). If the noise is from the front of the washer and is a lighter grinding or chopping type noise, you'd want to check the drain pump 280187 for objects stuck in the pump or pump filter. Read More...

Bill October 06, 2012 for Model Number 11047086600 I have a Kenmore Elite washer and purchased the 3 pk. baffle kit from your company, p/n AP3769371. The screw hole in the new baffles is in a different place than the old ones and doesn't line up with the hole in the drum. It's toward the rear of the baffle instead of close to the front. Did I buy the wrong part? It was the one listed for my washer.
1 Answer Hi Bill, the part you ordered is the right part number for your model. Did part# 285976 that you received look the same as the parts as in our picture? If you look at the rear view picture it should give you an idea if you received the right part or not. Hope this helps! Read More...
