The old filter was completely dry and light. Appears to have no water in it. Was it not inserted completely in? The filter may still be good. :. Next question: The filter cap (2260502 2260518) is the old cap. I watched the video for installing the cap to the filter. It looks very straightforward. I can’t seem to get the cap on the filter. Seems like it doesn’t fit. It doesn’t snap into place when turn counterclockwise. Nothing seems broken. I order another cap. It’s the same part numere. Any thoughts?

Most likely it was not installed and seated properly, so the water would have bypassed the filter. As for the cap, you may want to remove the lower kickplate grille to insure the cap and filtrer are inserted and installed properly.
