Elio March 17, 2019 for Model Number MDBH 979AWS3 Maytag start and pause bottoms stop working. Ordered new front panel and locker device. Tried to start and it is dead. Only a click sound coming from control board card. Check thermal relay ok. Check around and found motor capacitor read infinite resistance and tester meddle don't moved at all. Q: is the capacitor the reason for unit to be dead or the control card is bad. Are there any way to test the card..?
1 Answer Elio, The capacitor would not cause the unit to not operate and will want to test to make sure that there is 120 vac going into the control board. Also check to make sure that the ribbon harness is seated properly. Read More...
Jim December 17, 2016 for Model Number KUDS30IXBL6 No power to panel, unit will not run. Is there a fuse or thermal fuse on this unit?
1 Answer Hello Jim. Test and see if there is power to the control board. If so, and it doe snot come on, replace the board W11035586 on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Asberry September 26, 2016 for Model Number GU1100XTLQ1 The panel lights up but quickly stops. Could it be the capacitor?
1 Answer Hello Asberry. No, it is not likely. It sounds like the control board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Todd P January 14, 2016 for Model Number mdb7749awm2 Motor just hums drains fine replaced motor still hums replaced impeller also must be capacitor any suggestions.
1 Answer Todd, With what has already been done with the unit, the capacitor would be the most likely cause for the unit not running but could also be a control board that is sending mixed signals to the motor. Read More...
Ben March 04, 2015 for Model Number Kuds20fxss3 My dishwasher will not drain. When it is done washing. I can hear a faint clicking near the control panel. After researching online, I checked the motor's capacitor with a multimeter and it did not register anything. Is this the problem or is it not supposed to give a reading? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Ben, The capacitor will give a strange reading with an ohm meter if it is good. If you do not have a capacitor tester and an ohm meter is used, it will read a resistance reading that will go up very quickly to infinity. When the leads are reversed, the same thing will occur again. You need to check the voltage at the drain pump. If no voltage is present in a drain cycle, you will need to check the connections at the control and the harness. If no problems are located, the control will need to be replaced. If voltage is present, replace the drain pump. For more specific information, you will need to verify the model number from the units' I.D. tag and repost. This way we can pull the wiring information on the specific model you have in your home since the model number you listed is not coming up as valid. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...

David February 06, 2015 for Model Number 11042922200 How do I ck my capacitor with my digital voltmeter? I put it on dc and it read 0.00 also ck on ac and again 0.00. Which mode should I set my meter on since there are several?
1 Answer David, You will want to put your meter for resistance or O reading. You will put your leads across the terminals and there should be resistance that drops to 0.00. Read More...

1 Answer John, There would not be a reset for the control panel but you will want to make sure that the keypad checks ok. If you access the tech sheet under the kickplate there will be a keychart that will show you how to test the keypad by doing a continuity test on the keypad. Read More...
Raul S May 21, 2014 for Model Number GU1200xtkbo Does the capacitor part number AP4695694 have polarity? the part itself has no marking any where to indicate this and neither does the old part 8269507. So how do I know to which terminal goes to the yellow wire and blue wire on my whirlpool gold quiet partner 3 ?
