Ben for Model Number Kuds20fxss3 My dishwasher will not drain. When it is done washing. I can hear a faint clicking near the control panel. After researching online, I checked the motor's capacitor with a multimeter and it did not register anything. Is this the problem or is it not supposed to give a reading? Thanks!
Answer Hello Ben, The capacitor will give a strange reading with an ohm meter if it is good. If you do not have a capacitor tester and an ohm meter is used, it will read a resistance reading that will go up very quickly to infinity. When the leads are reversed, the same thing will occur again. You need to check the voltage at the drain pump. If no voltage is present in a drain cycle, you will need to check the connections at the control and the harness. If no problems are located, the control will need to be replaced. If voltage is present, replace the drain pump. For more specific information, you will need to verify the model number from the units' I.D. tag and repost. This way we can pull the wiring information on the specific model you have in your home since the model number you listed is not coming up as valid. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 9, 2015
