For Whirlpool Capacitor, Motor (Part Number: OEM18043401)

Julian, The motor capacitor would be located on the bottom of the wash tub close to the front of the front toward the right middle of the unit. When you take the kickplate off you should see it. It will not be a round capacitor but will be a small square black filter.

Doug for Model Number GEGLD 566ON10SS GE Dishwasher

When pressing start, the unit fills with water, but motor will not start, just buzzes. You can take a pencil and start motor spinning and it will run until, it has to stop and go to a rinse cycle, then it will not start again until i flip it with pencil. If we open door and close it the same thing happens. I TOOK OUT THE CAPICATOR, BUT CANNOT FIND A REPLACEMENT LOCALLY. The one I took out is C61-P2 10uf+5% 300VAC 50/60 HZ 85C 10000AFC 2007IV Do you think yours will work. Thanks, Doug Walker

Hello Doug. Sorry, they do not offer just the capacitor. You will need to replace the motor assembly.

Hello Steven. If some buttons work and others do not work, it sounds like the control panel WPW10235719 is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit.

Hi Gene. The answer is no, the pump will not be energized from the capacitor. We will need your serial # to get you the correct control board part # since there are 3 of them. If the serial # first 2 letters stare or are below # 10...... then the board is part # 99003162. If it starts w/ # 11....... it is part # [99003162]. If it starts w/ 19....... then it is part # 12002711. Finally if it is # 29............ it is part # 12002711. First you need to follow the suppiled tech. sheet to see if the unit allows a certain code to show. It as well can be a control panel keypad stuck. Let us know.... Thank You.
