Joan January 03, 2018 for Model Number maytagSE1000 Ring broke- taped it back on work for small load then leaked. Was looking for a new machine as this is 1991 and what will break next. reviews aren't good on laundry centers. So am going to order ring. should I put new seal on and if I do do I take old seal off. Looks like it is on there!!
1 Answer Joan, It's not likely you'll need to tub cover seal WP211232 , it's a good idea to mark the cover where the gasket is located on the tub cover, take the gasket and soak it in hot water and wash it off with a rag. Make sure you position the tub cover properly(there should be a 9/16 to 5/8 inch gap between the tub cover and the top of the wash basket, or the washer won't spin, and tighten the two tub clamp screws evenly. 1 Answer Hello Sherry. You will loosen the clamp 200846 and slide it over the rubber seal and the tub. Once in place you will tighten the clamp one side to the other until it is tight and seated properly. Hope this helps. Read More...
