The electronic clock control with overlay is a combined unit that includes the digital clock display and the decorative black panel that surrounds and labels the controls on your appliance. It allows you to set cook times, delays, and timed functions. Replace this part if the clock won't display, the overlay is cracked or peeling, or timed cooking functions no longer work.

Ralph, The "5A6", is actually "SAB" for "sabboth" mode. Press and hold the "clock" keypad for 5 seconds, The display should revert back to the time of day mode, and the oven should operate. Thanks and Good Luck

Hello Sarah. It is not hard to change the clock WP74009227. You will need to remove the back panel off the control panel and disconnect the power to the unit. Once removed, you will remove the wires and the screws securing the clock to the panel. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.

Sarah M. for Model Number agr5735qdb (amana gas range)

This is a hugely expensive part so I want to be sure that it is what I need. The symptoms are that the stove keeps going into Sabbath mode. Sometimes it comes out and I can use the oven, but the "lock" light flashes. Sometimes it self-locks, and most of the time it just stays in Sabbath mode (very devout!) No amount of turning off the circuit breaker, or pushing "clock" in for 5 seconds does any good. Can I assume that it needs a new touch pad and how hard is it to swap in the new one? We are enjoying a lot of jokes about how devout the oven is, but really we would like to have it fixed. It's getting a little old! Thanks, Sarah

Hello! The touchpad seems to be at fault with this issue. It comes installed on the board part number WP74009227. We can not suggest that you leave the product on until it reaches the Sabbath Mode. Thanks.
