This is an oven control board and clock for electric ranges. The main purpose of this part is to monitor and control the temperature of the oven and the range. This part also functions as a display for time and temperature settings. Hello Marva. The F2 error code on this model of range indicates that the electronic oven control board detected an over temperature condition in the oven. If the oven actually overheated, then you could have a welded contact on the electronic oven control board. If the oven did not overheat, then you could have a bad oven temp probe or a wiring issue. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Hello Michael, The only way you will get this by itself is from a used unit. The only other way to get it is with the control board WPW10438751.

Hello Sammy. Squeeze the tabs on the side of the connector and lift upward to unlock the ribbon cable and remove it from the control board on the unit.

Hello Daniel. Membrane disconnected. Ensure ribbon cable is securely connected, inspect ribbon cable and connector (shorts, breakage, corrosion, etc.). If OK, replace control.

Hello Steven. WP71001872 does have a ribbon connector on it. It is the lage black connector and must be pulled up to unlock and install the ribbon cable.
