Heidi June 26, 2026 for Model Number WW27430P I had been getting an F7 error on my JennAir double ovens. I replaced the control panel with a new part from this site. After the replacement the "5" button would not work, but the ovens worked fine otherwise, for less than a week. Now, I'm getting the F7 error again. Any thoughts or suggestions?
1 Answer I'm sorry the F7 came back, especially after replacing the control panel. The fact that the new panel had a "5" button that never worked is actually a pretty important clue. On your JennAir WW27430P, the F7 error usually means the control is seeing a stuck or shorted keypad, although in some cases the electronic control board (ERC/clock) can also be the cause. Based on what you've described, my first suspicion is that the replacement control panel itself is defective. A brand-new panel should have every button working properly. Since the "5" key never worked and now the F7 has returned, it sounds like the keypad may have been faulty from the start. Before replacing anything else, I'd recommend trying a couple of quick checks: Turn the breaker off for about 5 minutes, then restore power and see if the F7 returns. Disconnect power again and remove the control panel. Unplug the keypad ribbon cable from the control board, inspect it for any bent contacts, corrosion, or debris, then reconnect it securely. A loose connection can sometimes cause keypad errors. Last night, when using the oven, the broiler element came on and could not be turned off except by turning off the breaker. When the breaker is turned on the broiler element comes on. The controls on the panel do nothing. Will a new control board fix this issue?

Craig March 15, 2025 for Model Number WW30430P On my WW30430P double wall oven I have a strange issue where the oven lights are on all of the time. I've replaced the relay board and the main circuit board (inside) with no luck. Could it be the control board (WP71001872) or possibly the touch panel/membrane?

Jeff September 27, 2017 for Model Number WW27430P Was awakened in the middle of the night to a beeping sound. Oven was beeping, display shows "F8". Is this likely caused by a bad Oven Control Board (Clock)?

The Whirlpool tech, over the phone, said it is most likely the circuit board panel. Do you think this will correct it? The only other option would be a new oven (everything else works fine). Jon C December 23, 2015 for Model Number WW27430P Last night we self cleaned both the upper and lower ovens at the same time - didn't know we were not supposed to do that. Both ovens cleaned fine. Today, the upper oven works fine but the lower does not heat. Removed the bake element and tested it for continuity - it read 21 ohms. I have not tested the broil element. What do I try now? Light works in both ovens, controls appear to work, but for lower oven when we try to set bake temp it stays at 100 and does not even warm.
