I took the interface out and removed the start button and a broken plastic piece behind it. Are you able to replace the start button...or do I have to replace the interface?

Mamablalock June 29, 2015 for Model Number GEW9200LW0 I had a repairman to come out and look at my washer and he wanted around $300 to fix my machine! My washer User Interface is still good so there is no reason to replace it at this time. All I need is Control Button and Start Button. Mine had became brittle and finally broke so now I have to use a pencil eraser to be able to reach in there to turn it on and start it. James April 10, 2015 for Model Number GHW9250ML1 The control knob snapped off a piece of the stem that comes out the front of the user interface. Is there a way to just replace the rod or stem to attach the control knob on again? Would hate to have to replace the whole user interface. Been using vice grips. lol

Mike February 10, 2015 No lights on the front panel. There is power to the unit. Took top of unit off and wiggle the wires to the interface. Some lights flickered then when off. Could this be a problem with the interface? This a whirlpool duet about 7yrs old.
1 Answer Hello Mike, This is really hard to say without even knowing the configuration but from experience, if you get a flicker from moving a harness, either the connection or the board is going to be at least part of the issue.
