Mike February 18, 2019 for Model Number WFW9200SQ00 Shows error code f11. Agitator won't start. Where do I start? Unit is 12 years old.
1 Answer Mike, you will first want to check the wiring going from your motor control unit to the motor and from the MCU to the central control unit, looking for any breaks or bare wires. From there, you will want to perform a resistance test on the motor, pin 1 to 2, 2 to 3, and 1 to 3 should all read 6 ohms. If all checks good, then you will want to replace the MCU [WP8183196] which is found on the bottom left hand side of the washer. Read More...
Duet Dad June 14, 2018 for Model Number WFW9200SQ02 I have a WFW9200SQ02 duet washer that randomly quits mid cycle with either f21 or SUD errors. Sometimes it will go several cycles with no error, but other times it won't allow me to cancel or unlock the door after an error code. Unplugging to reset for several minutes will sometimes not even release the door lock or allow a cycle to run, while other times the pump will immediately drain the tub when plugged back in and then unlock. I have cleaned out the drain filter screen, and made sure there are no obstructions in the drain hoses or level switch hose. Diagnostic mode gives no errors. We have been using the same type and amount of detergent as always. Is this an indication of a bad level switch, CCU, or MCU? If so, how do I test the parts to see if they need replaced?
1 Answer Duet Dad, The f21 will be a long drain error so you will want to check to make sure that the drain filter is clean and check the pressure hose for being clogged or pressure switch being bad. These will be the most likely causes for this issue. Read More...
Tommy W November 13, 2017 for Model Number mhwe3000vw12 i haved checked out a few of your questions and answers but not found nothing i think is containing to my question but i have maytag front load washer model no.mhwe300vw12 and when it washes and gets to spin it goes down to 6 minutes and continue to spin slow and not advance no further even put in on drain and spin and same thing down to 6 minutes and does not advance any further changed pump and nothing different on drain and spin starts out at 11 minutes and pump starts and it spins and then at about 7to8 minutes the pump stops and never starts again then at 6 minutes it does the same thing any suggestions would be greatly helpful thank you in advance tommy
1 Answer Tommy, It would be recommended to put the unit into diagnostics and see if there are any stored error codes. This issue sounds like it could be a motor control, main control or a door lock assembly. Read More...
Tim June 30, 2016 for Model Number MHWE450WW01 This is one of the famous bad bearing washers. I have had the drum bearings replaced and it has work flawlessly for quite a few years now. The other day I heard a pop and the washer had tripped the breaker. I have investigated and there is a burn mark on the back of the mcu board. It looks like the one of the circuit board ribbons the are etched on the board has burned. Is this caused by a bad motor or bad mcu board. I don't want to replace the board and have it burn again because it was something else. The unit powers up and you can select a cycle. When start is pressed the door locks and that's it. No water fill or drum movement. Thanks.
1 Answer Tim, This issue would most likely just be caused by a faulty MCU and would need to replace the board. Read More...
James December 22, 2015 for Model Number GHW9150PW4 I have a whirlpool duet front loading washing machine. It displayed a F02 error code. I cleaned the debris trap, that did not correct the error. I replaced the pump and the error still remains. During final rinse the pump drains the machine however, the drum does not spin then the F02 error code is displayed. Is this a CCU, MCU or pressure switch problem?
1 Answer James, You will want to check the pressure hose and air dome to make sure that they are not clogged. If this checks ok then the pressure switch would be the most likely issue with the unit. Read More...
J September 28, 2015 for Model Number WFW9400SU00 I am trying to remove the motor control unit but am unable to disconnect the top blue wire connection. How can this be done without damaging anything? Thank you!
1 Answer Hello J. There is a locking clip that you have to release in order to unplug the wiring harness from the control. Read More...
Jesse May 06, 2015 for Model Number 11047089600 My washer did not turn on, it just beeped. I did the self diagnostic by pressing and holding and releasing a button for 3 seconds and so on. It gave me the F70 code. However, I disconnected the MCU at the bottom (3 blue cables) and left it hanging and connected to power supply and now it turns on and all the controls work. Is this a bad CCU or MCU? Thanks
Tatay808 May 05, 2015 for Model Number 11049962603 What is F28 mean? It flashes on my washing machine after few minutes of not working?
1 Answer Tatay808, Unfortunately we are unable to pull the tech sheet for this model to be able to advise on what this error code means. If you look inside the unit, by pulling the washer top off, you will locate the technical sheet and it will have the error codes and meaning on it. Read More...
Chris September 23, 2014 Just changed MCU on my duet model no.wfw9200sq01 its doing same as replaced unit just beeps turned on and would not let water in, cancled program and unplugged washer let set than plugged back in and now only beeps when you try turning on.
1 Answer Chris, Based on the information it does not sound like the MCU would have been the issue to begin with. It sounds like either the CCU or the user interface would be the issue but you would want to check the error codes in the unit and see if there are any showing. If there are use the chart on the tech sheet to advise what the code represents. Read More...
