John April 24, 2014 for Model Number KSBS25INBL00 I have installed ice maker from you. Old one was filling with water but not dumping. New one does not fill with water.
1 Answer Hello John. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Also, if the valve is good, check the boards on the unit. Ron February 26, 2014 for Model Number KSCS25INWH00 Ice maker doesn't work. Can still get water at door, changed filter. While trying to remove ice maker I find that the water inlet tube at the top prevents the unit from sliding out. Is that tube to be pulled out to allow the Ice Maker to slide out? Don't want to force something and break it if there is another option that I'm missing. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Ron, The fill tube you are referring to is rubber and can easily be flexed to allow the icemaker to be removed. If this fill tube were removed, the icemaker would have to be removed first since it is pulled out and put back in from this end. Read More...

Pete January 30, 2014 for Model Number Kitchenaid KSRS25ILSS02 Icemaker stopped working. There was ice all over the freezer before it failed. I thawed out and cleaned freezer. Now if I manually pour water into the ice maker, i will get ice cubes in my ice bucket. So it looks like my icemaker is not getting water. I can get water from the door dispenser. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Pete. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Ricky M. November 29, 2013 for Model Number ksrs25rsms01 If I replace the whole ice maker does it come with new water inlet valve?
1 Answer Hello Ricky, If you order the replacement icemaker assembly 2198597 by the model number, it will not come with the water valve. If you order an icemaker kit, these normally include the icemaker, the water valve, an ice bucket, the electrical harness for the icemaker, and the associated water lines. This may seem like a simple way to save a few dollars but you will not receive the correct water valve since it will be a single, (for icemaker only, not for water dispense), but the new icemaker will also have to be taken partially apart to install the proper ice stripper from the old assembly since the kit does not come with the proper part for the design of your model.
