Robert December 28, 2012 for Model Number ksrp25fnssoo How do you remove the icemaker from Kitchenaid Ref (ksrp25fnssoo) . I have alway got instructions with the part, but this time no instructions. HOw do you get the old ice maker out?
1 Answer Hello Robert, To remove the icemaker you will remove the access door in front of icemaker first. You would then remove the 1/4" hex screw that is on the bottom right of the icemaker. Once screw is removed then lift the wire cover out from the back of the icemaker from where you just removed the screws. Push in on flapper and pull icemaker out and disconnect. Read More...
Jeanie December 13, 2012 for Model Number kscs23inss00 The ice maker is receiving no water. Do I need to change the whole unit or just a specific part.
1 Answer Hello Jeanie. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Wally J December 06, 2012 for Model Number 10656532400 For the past few months my ice machine has been forming an icicle from the overflow pan below the ice maker. I purchased from you a new inlet valve and replaced that hoping that would fix my issue. Unfortunately that didn't work. I have had the ice maker removed and noticed that the coating in the water tray is starting to come off. I don't see how that would cause the tray to overflow but running out of options.
1 Answer Hello Wally. It sounds like it is leaking from the coating being gone. You will need to replace the icemaker 2198597 in the unit. Read More...
Paul November 15, 2012 for Model Number Kenmore model 106.58902802 We purchased a replacement icemaker from you and it did not make ice for the first 36 hours after installation, then it made 1 tray of ice. Twenty four hours later it made 1 tray of ice about 2 weeks ago. It filled with water and froze but has not dumped since. The light to the right of the door blinks 2 short blinks, pauses, then blinks 2 short blinks. When I hold down the flapper, it continues to blink 2 short blinks with a pause, then 2 more short blinks (there is no change in in the operation whether the flapper is held down or released) I thought possibly the new icemaker was defective, but before I replace it again, I need your technical advice in case there is another problem.
1 Answer Hello Paul. The most critical issue with icemaker operation is temperature. It needs to be 0° in order for it to work properly. You will need to check and see what the temperature inside the unit is at. Here is a link to help if the temperature is good. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/refrigerator-freezer-repair/29618-ice-maker-not-working-kitchenaid.html Read More...

Jason November 02, 2012 I purchased the complete icemaker unit [from you guys], replaced it, and it started working immediately. We had ice with an hour or so. It made about 6 batches of ice and then stopped. There is ice in the maker, but it has not flipped out. Now what? Thanks, Jason
1 Answer Hello Jason, I would first check the temperature in the freezer compartment. If it doesn't drop below 20 degrees it cannot cycle. The cycling thermostat could have caused this failure if the temperature is sufficient. Read More...
Tju2 October 16, 2012 for Model Number Kitchenaid KSRA25ILSS13 Ice maker not working after replacing with new unit. Freezer is cold (ice-cream is hard). Tested optic sensor I think it is a 2002 design (mfg date 11-03). Open door 2 blinks pause 2 blinks. Close the flap and solid light. Optics test good. Put a jumper between T&H and the new unit won't run. Any suggestions on what to test next?

Wille September 11, 2012 for Model Number stara05327060937050020 My ice maker is working but water is coming through the drain line to the defrost pan causing the pan to over flow.
1 Answer Hello Willie, This sounds like either low water pressure or the water inlet valve has failed. I would normally list the part number right here, but the model number is nowhere near a valid model number. You will need to re-post or call in for one of our representatives to look it up for you. Jsoko September 06, 2012 for Model Number 106.56666501 IM not working, did the water valve switch and got water to the IM by pressing the water glass fill. I'm not skilled enough to do the L&N check or the T&H jump or the mold heater check. I did pull the IM and removed the ice then reinstalled and the RED light blinks, with flapper shut the RED light stays ON and with the flapper shut and the light switch OFF there is NO RED light. Prior to removing the IM there was NO RED light with either the IM switch in the ON or OFF position. Thanks for any help you offer
