Cam March 25, 2011 for Model Number Kenmore 106.56566400 Ice maker not working. Water is not flowing into ice mold. Took hair dryer to black tube and attempted to poke ice out (nothing). I poured water in ice mold expecting that it would eject the ice into bin and that didn't work either. Ice control lights blink twice when door open. When I close the flap the light remains solid red.

Tony March 23, 2011 for Model Number ksrg256fkss16 Ice maker stopped ...PERIOD! I removed it, let it thaw and detected a burnt motor odor. Is this a natural phenomenon or is the motor toast? Is there a way of trouble shooting it before possibly buying the wrong piece?

Dean March 14, 2011 for Model Number ksrp25fnss00 No it just stopped making ice. Tray was empty which is why we thought maybe ice in tube. We also added water to tray to see if it would cycle, ice evaporated.
1 Answer Hello Dean! If you filled the ice maker ice mold with water and the ice maker did not eject any ice, you will need to make sure that the freezer is cooling properly. Brnd B March 06, 2011 We have replace the icemaker twice in our Kitchenaid side-by side refrigerator KSRX25FNWH01. The last time we replaced the part it never worked. We thought it was the valve so we replaced that as well and it still doesn't work. We thought maybe it could have been a defective icemaker but just not sure. Any suggestions?
