Moose July 10, 2023 for Model Number GU1200XTLTO Normal, rinse only, and pots and pans functions do not work. Buttons do not light up when pushed. all other functions seem to work. I suspect the console control panel is defective. Does this sound correct?
William June 21, 2022 for Model Number GU1200XTLB3 Sani Rinse light flashes continuously. Have tried to cycle power and same result.
1 Answer William, the console WP8534833 would need to be tested for resistance when the power supply to the dishwasher is turned off. From the ribbon pin 11 to pin 5, the resistance should measure from infinite down to a readable Ohm level. If the resistance shows open, the console would need to be replaced. If it does measure a readable Ohm level shortly, the main control WP8564543 would be the cause of failure. Unfortunately, the main control has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available. Read More...

Pete P. April 23, 2015 for Model Number WHIRLPOOL GOLD DISHWASHER GU1200XTLSO The dishwasher does not run. The light on the "Rinse Only" flashes and the washer does not run. When I touch the reset button the light on the "Rinse Only" continues to flash and the light on the "Soak & Scrub" burns steadily as does the 4 hr. delay start. I have tried to reset the panel by disconnection the power for 15 minutes but this does not help. This dishwasher has been used no more than six times.
1 Answer Pete, This issue would be caused by a stuck key on the control panel. This would require part number WP8534833 console assembly to need to be replaced. Read More...
Eric February 11, 2013 for Model Number GU1200XTLS2 I have a Whirlpool Quite Partner III that was installed in 2003. The dishwasher stopped working and the Pots & Pans light is blinking. Pressing "Cancel" results in both the cancel & Pots & Pans light to blink. I suspect I have a shorted control panel but how can I confirm it's not the control board? Also, what is the expected life of the appliance? Trying to determine if I should repair or replace it. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Eric. According to the service sheet, a flashing light above a button is for a stuck key and the control panel WP8534833 will need to be replaced. Read More...
