William, the console WP8534833 would need to be tested for resistance when the power supply to the dishwasher is turned off. From the ribbon pin 11 to pin 5, the resistance should measure from infinite down to a readable Ohm level. If the resistance shows open, the console would need to be replaced. If it does measure a readable Ohm level shortly, the main control WP8564543 would be the cause of failure. Unfortunately, the main control has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.

Pat, the console WP8534833 would only include the touchpad and the touchpad ribbon harness. It does not include the main control WP8564543. Unfortunately, the main control has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.

Hello David. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the screws securing the inner door panel. Remove the inner door panel and remove the cover off the control board. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board and remove the screws holding the control board housing in place. Next remove the screws holding the control panel in place. Reinstall with the new control panel in reverse order.

Pete, This issue would be caused by a stuck key on the control panel. This would require part number WP8534833 console assembly to need to be replaced.

Hello Eric. According to the service sheet, a flashing light above a button is for a stuck key and the control panel WP8534833 will need to be replaced.

William, You're on track, you most likely have a faulty control panel keypad WP8534833 "PROBLEM: WON’T RUN AND LED ABOVE KEY(S) IS BLINKING = Stuck key(s) or shorted circuit(s) in keypad.> Check keypad. Shorted circuits or connections on the control that read the keys. > Check control. and You'll need to reset the control board " Pressing the following option keys in the sequence shown will either start the Diagnostics Cycle or turn on the Rapid Advance feature for stepping through customer selectable cycles:HIGH TEMP SCRUB (POWER SCOUR) (HIGH TEMP SCOUR) > AIR DRY (NO HEAT DRY) (ENERGY SAVER DRY) > HIGH TEMP SCRUB (POWER SCOUR) (HIGH TEMP SCOUR) > AIR DRY (NO HEAT DRY) (ENERGY SAVER DRY) . If the above key sequence is entered with the dishwasher in Standby, the Diagnostics Cycle is started. The Diagnostics Cycle can be rapid-advanced, interval by interval, by pressing the Pots&Pans/Heavy or Anti-bacteria/Cookware cycle key". Thanks and Good Luck
