Sameer November 20, 2016 Hello, I am looking for wpw10116565 control board but it looks out of stock everywhere. Has sears/kenmore stopped making this? I see wpw10116566 board - doesnt look identical but close. Will that work instead of wpw10116566? If not, what are the options or part number for compatib!e board? Hate to throw away the dryer since everything else is working fine Regards - Sameer

Stacie February 22, 2016 for Model Number 110.73952101 I have a Kemnore elite gas dryer. The start button wont stay on and the dryer does not heat. Found out it was the electronic control board. I found part # 3978949 on sears website but they had a sub part #85446229 for it. Could you tell me what part is correct and on the diagram of the control panel in the manual what numbered part is it #3? Thanks

Bobo October 19, 2014 for Model Number 11073942101 Dryer stopped running in the middle of a cycle. Now the motor only runs if the start button is held down but there is no heat either. I replaced Motor relays but no change. Thanks
Rabbit April 14, 2014 for Model Number 100.62942100 dryer starts when PTS depressed but quits when released. I checked motor relay I do not have 48VDC on relay. Please help. Thanks in advance
1 Answer Rabbit, With the issue that you are having, the centrifugal switch inside the motor is not switching from the start to the run winding and you would need a new motor. Read More...
Tom December 12, 2013 for Model Number 11062952100 Push start button and it will run but when you let off the button it will stop running. I checked the door switch its ok checked the heat relay and the motor start relay ok. How do you know if it is the control board or the motor? What test to make sure which one it is. I ask a question about this and you said it sounds like the motor but before I spend the money on a motor I want to make sure that is what it is. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Tom. You already did the test. It is the motor on the unit. There is a switch inside the motor that switches when started. Yours is not doing that. Let go of start switch, it dies. Thus the motor needs to be replaced on the unit. Read More...

Robert November 04, 2013 for Model Number wed9200sq0 I started large load seems like something tripped and blew out something in the unit Dryer is now dead no lights there is power in receptacle I replaced the Thermister It hasn't help prior to this I had issues with unit blowing thermal fuses when using it in bulk load mode even when the unit was clear in exhaust?? Could all these issues be linked to the control/mother board?
1 Answer Hello Robert. Check the terminal block and the thermal fuse on the unit. If good, and there is power to the board but not out, replace the board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Pierre P. October 05, 2013 for Model Number ygew9877jqo I have my dryer set at 70 minutes but after 10 minutes it stops. Is this a timer problem? Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Hello Pierre P., This is an electronic control issue. The control is not sending the timer motor voltage in pulses as it was designed. You will need to replace the electronic control WPW10116566 to correct this issue. Read More...
David August 14, 2013 for Model Number 110.73932101 Dryer motor wouldn't stay unless I held the PTS button. Switch tested OK with an ohm-meter but I replaced it anyway. No luck. By passed the PTS switch and it ran fine --- for a while. Then found that the timer wouldn't wind down to zero. Then lost the heat on the 'Normal' setting. Switched to the high temp setting and heated OK. Then lost the high heat setting also. Motor still runs. Auto moisture side of the timer produces no heat either. Does the growing list of failures suggest the control board? Hate to invest in an expensive part without being more certain. Thanks
1 Answer Hello David. Based on the information you provided, you will need to order the motor 279787 for the unit. Read More...
