Baseball August 27, 2011 for Model Number mdb7100aws When I start the dishwasher it go through the first cycle. It drain ok but will not fill back up with water and a heat delay came on. Can you tell me what the problem is? Thank you.
1 Answer Hi Baseball. There is a 3" round float in the front rt. of the tub. The float stem passes through the tub body and rest on the common lever of the float switch. When the float is down( Water out of tub) the switch closes and the water valve gets 120 vac to open the water fill valve. The water valve is part # [mdb7100aws]. There is a tech sheet in the toe kick panel for you to use to assist you to put the unit in a field service test. Thank you. Read More...
Jimmy Dean July 09, 2011 for Model Number MDB7100AWW When I press any of the control buttons to start the wash cycle, the unit runs for 5-7 seconds and then shuts down. There will also be times when nothing will happen and it will not start at all.
1 Answer Jimmy, you most likely have a "sticky" rinse only micro button, and will need to replace the PCB assembly WP99002824. You also want to check the door switches WP99002207 for proper wiring and operation as well. Thanks and Good Luck. Read More...
Richard May 04, 2011 for Model Number MDB7100AWW My dishwasher for some reason when done with any wash cycle ends up with water in the tub equivalent to the amount used during a wash cycle. When I press the drain function, the unit discharges the water then goes to rinse and again ends up with water in the tub. Can you tell me if there is a reset to put it back to the wash cycles or is the control board bad? Thank you, Richard H.
1 Answer Hello Richard! You will need to change out the control board. We will need your appliance serial number to verify the correct part number. Thanks. Read More...

Harley M. March 30, 2011 for Model Number Maytag Model No. MDB7100AWQ When we start the dishwasher, it starts and runs water in and goes through the first cycle but it will not release the first cycle water and it does not release the detergent. It then makes a chugging sound like it is trying to go into the next cycle but it won't. The water stays in the bottom of the dishwasher. This is the first time we have had any problem at all with this dishwaster. What do you think our problem is? Thank you.
