Mike November 12, 2011 for Model Number mdbd880aww The current/original touch panel does not illuminate at all when touched. Yesterday, occasionally, when you would open and close the door, you could hear the dishwasher wanting to begin its cycle and then it would stop wtihin about 3 seconds. But the touch panel still did not light up when touched. Now today, the screen still does not illuminate and it does not attempt to start the cycle. I inspected the PCB and found nothing obviously wrong. It was a little warm to the touch but nothing out of the ordinary. I did notice 2 small "brown hot" marks by two resistors. I put it all back together, cleaned all water inlet and outlet points inside the tub and no change. Touch screen still does not power up. Will a repalcement PCB work? Can I return it if my "part swap " approach does not pan out?
1 Answer Mike, You're on track, But first, check and make sure the mounting tabs for the PCB,on the inside of the control panel have not broken and allowed the PCB to slip back and away from the control panel 6-915433 . Then replace the PCB WP99002825 , if all's OK. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Roger August 04, 2011 for Model Number MDB9150AWW I put a new control board on my dishwasher last week. the old one had burnt, and the water valve would only open occasionally. the water valve is still unreliable, I have 120v at the valve all the time, and if I take the neutral to ground the valve opens without fail. I am shorting it after the float micro-switch so the switch is OK. I traced the neutral back to the new board and I didn't find any problems with the wire. Any suggestions? Thanks
1 Answer Hi Roger. The water valve coil is shorted to the mount. It will allow the ground to supply the neutral and open. This part # is WP99001359. Thank you. Read More...
Partha108 June 10, 2011 for Model Number MDB90100AWQ THis worked fine this morning. Afterwards when we started to get ready for another wash, there is no light on the panel and would not start. The circuit breakers are fine. It closes and I can hear the latch locking. Is there any other fuse?
1 Answer Hello Partha108. You will need to test and see if there is power coming to the control board. If so, and there is no lights, you will need to replace the control board WP99002825. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Ron May 19, 2011 for Model Number MDBD880AWQ Dishwasher was running fine. Just started and was filling and smelled smoke. Saw circut board was damaged. What would cause this to go bad. I was going to order a new board # AP4113560. Will this be the fix?
1 Answer Hello Ron. If you can visually see damage on the board WP99002825, then yes you will want to replace it. What caused it, could be multiple things. A power surge, moisture getting or age caught up with the board. Hope this helps! Read More...
