Chuck December 30, 2014 for Model Number MDB9100AWW The control panel has gone dark. No button functions. The circuit breaker is in non tripped position. The electrical circuit connections behind the kick plate are secure. Washer simply stopped working after the last load. Inspection of the control board shows no evidence of moisture issues and the wiring is solid without breaks or heat signs. There are what appear to be scorching marks on the control board surface at R301, R302, R303, D302 & D303. Does this mean replace the entire PCB or components or part of the assembly?
1 Answer Chuck, With there being scorch marks on the control board then this would mean that the control board would need to be replaced. The part number for the control board is WP99002825. Read More...
Randy December 14, 2014 for Model Number MDB9150AWW Our dishwasher stopped working. Sometimes if we closed it hard several times, we could get it working. I took apart the door, and tested the latch to make sure that wasn't the issue. It tested fine, but there was a loose connection on the main control board, and i re-soldered it, which got it working right away. After running it for a couple of times, it now sometimes stops about 6 minutes into the cycle. If i restart it several times, so far, i have been able to get it to complete the cycle. I would like to run the Field Service Test, but can find no information about how to do that, or what else may be causing the issue. Thanks for your help! Randy
1 Answer Randy, Based on the information it sounds like the control board would be the issue. Unfortunately we do not have a copy of the tech sheet to be able to advise on how to put into the service mode. You would be able to locate the one from you unit on the back side of the kick plate for your unit. Read More...
Tuan V March 23, 2014 for Model Number MDB9100AWW Maytag dishwasher, my dishwasher was in the middle of cycling, then my wife pressed the pause button to add more items, when she restarted it, the washer ran for 10 sec then stopped. The CLEAN LED light together with HEAT DRY LED started flashing, I tried to shut off the breaker a couple times but it did not reset. I think the circuit board is bad, but I want to know what you think is wrong with the washer. Thank you
1 Answer Tuan, Yes, you will need to replace the WP99002825 based on the information. You also want to check and make sure there's no moisture or condensation inside the control panel or corrosion on the board and terminals. Read More...
Tom December 17, 2013 for Model Number Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB9150AWB I just replaced the control panel on this dishwasher. I had to take out the PCB Assembly and put it into the new control panel. There is a green (I assume ground) wire that comes up from the wire harness to the PCB assembly I believe. I put it back where I believe it was on the PCB assembly but I want to make sure. There are two screws holding the right side of the PCB assembly to the control panel. I put the furthest right screw through the eyelet of the green wire and put that screw through the right hole on the PCB assembly. This hole is near what appear to be transistors. Is that the correct location? The screw and hole further to the left had no wires going to it if I recall correctly. Thank You, Tom
1 Answer Tom, As long as there is a piece of metal that the ground wire is attached to then it will be fine. Read More...
Robert C October 28, 2013 for Model Number MDB9150AWS My circuit board has stopped working. One of the large blue pieces (sorry I don't know what the technical term for that part is) has burn marks around the edges and has come loose. I'm fairly confident that replacing the motherboard will fix my dishwasher. If by chance this isn't the fix, what is your return policy. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Robert. If the board has burned marks, you will need to replace the PCB WP99002825. If it does not fix it, you have a 1 year warranty to return the part. Read More...
M.B.M. September 05, 2013 for Model Number Maytag MDB9100AWQ I have had this MDB9100AWQ since 2001. There was a recall for the potential leakage around the control panel. The service was done in 2006 or 07. I think they replaced the control panel at that time since there was some corrosion. A couple of days ago I pulled the lower wash arm to clean out the water ports. When I tried to start the machine after the cleaning, the Control Panel was totally dead. I have since smelled burnt electronics around the door latch port on the door side directly above the control panel. I am assuming the control panel is toast. My question is: Was the cleaning of the washer arm and the likely death of the control panel a colossal coincidence? I am fairly handy and can replace the control panel but considering the age of the machine, I am concerned about spending a $200 and then have some other problem blow the new panel. Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hello M.B., Look behind the kick panel for the tech sheet. Check the electrical connection to the unit behind the kick panel in the little electrical connection box for melted wire nuts while you're in there. If that's ok, check the door switches. While in there, make sure the harness isn't sticking to the door liner material. If this has happened, the door liner and complete harness will require replacement. If not, the control board WP99002825 has probably failed. You should make sure voltage and neutral is getting to the board. Remember, if neutral doesn't get there, the return half of the circuit is open and it cannot operate. Let us know if we can assist you further. Read More...
Mark December 28, 2012 for Model Number Maytag MDB9100AWB The dishwasher would not run just click click. While contemplating the PCB and looking at it here, I saw Todds note about a bad solder joint. Ours too. Fixed that now it runs. BUT it seems to just keep cycling. Starts, runs, drains, dries, then starts a new cycle??? Thoughts?
1 Answer Hello Mark, It sounds like the PCB assembly WP99002825 is damaged and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Gene M. June 11, 2012 for Model Number MDB9150AWQ Part No. 999002825 I bought the above dish washer in March 2003. I had to have the control board replaced in July, 2007. I now have a problem that the washer will not drain. It goes through the wash cycle but stops when it comes to the drain cycle. It just clicks and the readout panel flashes. This happens repeatedly. I had a technician looked at the unit and he said that it needed a new control board. My question is whether or not the part comes with any installation instructions. It seems like a rather simple job to remove the old panel and install the new one. The washer has sat unused since July 2011 when the technician looked at it. Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hello Gene. No, there is no instructions sent with the control board, but they are very easy to replace. Just disconnect the power, remove the inner door liner and the cover off the control board. Then install the new control board and make sure all the wires are seated properly on the unit. Wade S. March 10, 2012 for Model Number MDB9150AWW I'm not getting water to my unit: MDB9150AWW. Float switch is down and not stuck. Checked continuity of switch. Switch is closed when float is down. Switch opens when float is up. I am assuming that first part of cycle is fill-up. Machine is quiet for first few minutes, then pump starts. I am getting zero voltage across the water valve solenoid, with the float switch up or down. I get zero voltage across the switch with it up or down. I have stroked the hand cutoff valve under my sink. I put 110V straight to the water valve. Water valve opened, and water flowed into the tub. Partially filled tub and started a cycle. Machine sounded normal when pump came on to circulate water. It appears to me that the control card is not sending voltage to the water valve. Could it be something else?
1 Answer Hi Wade. Look at the wires under the door and see if they have been damaged or chewed open. This is a common issue during the fall and winter months. Make sure the wires are tight in the junction box and on the fill switch. Make sure the float is freely going up and down and staying on the float switch lever. If you have lost the voltage then back up to the control board and use the supplied wiring diagram to see if the #5 pin connector has 120 vac output to the float switch part WP99002560. Thank You. Mark December 26, 2011 for Model Number MDB9150AWW WHEN USING HEAVY WASH THE DISHWASHER (AFTER ABOUT 2 MIN) QUITS WASHING AND CLICKS ABOUT EVERY 3 SEC AND THE DISPLAY FLASHES,,, WHEN USING LIGHT AND MEDIUM WASH, THE MACHINE QUITS WASHING AND CLICKS, CONTROL BOARD FLASHES WHEN DISPLAY READS 65, (EVERY TIME),, THE MACHINE WILL RINSE AND DRAIN IF YOU PUSH RINS BUTTON,,, WHAT DOES THAT SOUND LIKE TO YOU ? THANKS MARK
1 Answer Hi Mark. Remove the lower kick plate and use the supplied tech. sheet. It will assist. you to use the field service test. This will pinpoint the area in which the defective circuit is.
