For Whirlpool Control Board (Part Number: OEM11302710)

Brian for Model Number RBD305PDQ8

My Whirlpool BI double oven stopped working. I reset the circuit breaker a couple times and was able to get it working for a while but now doesn't seem to work at all. The digital clock and control panel indicators do not light up at all. On a couple of occasions I've seen the E6 F2 code but after a while it goes out. Checking your online parts list I see that the electronic control board is no longer available. The Control panel with membrane touch pad is available. With what I'm experiencing is it possible a new Control panel with membrane touch pad would fix the problem, or is this more likely the electronic control board?

Hello Nancy! The control board is part number 8302967. Unfortunately, this item has been discontinued with no further replacements or cross references available and our company is unaware of any other available sources. Sorry about that!

Normr for Model Number GBD277PDB7

I have a built-in Whirlpool double accubake electric oven that is malfunctioning. Mdl# GBD277PDB7, Serial# XM0603287. It was installed in 2002. It had a self-cleaning incident a few years later, but it was fixed by an authorized repairman. We never utilized the self-clean feature from that point on. Some time later though the control display would begin intermittently going blank for a few days, then come back on. However, for the last few years, it functioned with no trouble. This past season after my wife finished an extensive array of Xmas cookies, the display panel became totally blank. The control board thermal fuse had gone bad—no continuity—, I personally replaced it and hoped it would function correctly. Although the control readouts now seemingly display correctly, the clock works fine, and the top oven turns on with all the readouts visible and the temperature can be adjusted, it will not turn off except by tripping the circuit breaker. Plus the lower oven will not turn on at all. When pressing the lower oven keypad, the upper oven turns on instead. I understand that the control board is no longer available, so I will be sending it out to be repaired, but I’m now concerned because the last time the oven was on, there was moisture developing on the keypad face above the upper oven vent. Could that have caused the control panel malfunction and its thermal fuse to break, or is a control board malfunction that affected the cooling fan?

Hello Normr. Make sure the cooling fan is working when you get the board repaired. Also, if the button issue continues, you will need to replace the control panel on the unit.

Jack for Model Number RBS245PDS17

I just replaced the control board due to a "no display" problem. Now the display reads E1-F2, which I believe is a control panel ribbon connection issue. I have re-seated the ribbon in the connector 6 times and still have the same error. Is there some trick to connecting the ribbon to the circuit board? what are the odds that both the control board and the circuit board went bad at exactly the same time? Seems like I may need to replace the control panel too, but it seems strange that both went bad at once. Am I missing something? thanks

1 Answer

Gresham, Yes, this issue would be caused by a faulty keypad which would require the replacement of the control panel.

Hello Adam, At this point all I could suggest is doing an online search for one of the companies that rebuild boards such as corecentric solutions. They will have to have yours to rebuild but that is better than having to replace the complete unit since the board is no longer available and no satisfactory substitution was provided by the manufacturer.

R. Calvert, The only tools that would be required to replace the control board on your unit would be a Phillips head screw driver and a 1/4" nut driver or socket.
