For Whirlpool Control Board (Part Number: OEM11302710)

David for Model Number RBD305PDB12

Our double oven began having issues - various error codes and control buttons not working. The only thing that continued to work was the interior light when the oven door was opened. I ordered from this site a new control board which seemed to correct the issues. Within 3 months we began having issues again. No more error codes but the oven "Off" buttons no longer work as well as the temperature down button. To shutdown the oven we need to throw the main breaker on our fuse box. Is this a control board problem or something related to the switch membrane? How can I check?

1 Answer

David, You will want to check the ribbon harness from the membrane switch to the control board to make sure that it has a firm seating and check to make sure that here is no corrosion on the harness. If this checks ok then replace the membrane switch.

Our display on the double oven went off, then everyone once in a while it would start beeping and you would see the error codes of E2 etc. This happened maybe a handful of times over 2 weeks. Now the display is perm blank. It will beep when you press the buttons and the light turns on when you open the oven. I see recommendations to replace the control board and control panel from previous customers. Which do you recommend i replace with my situation?

1 Answer

Dana, You will want to check to make sure that the transformer is good. To test the transformer you would check on the control board from connector P16 pins 5 to 7 for 120 vac. Check from Pins 2 to 3 on the same connector for 24 vdc. The 120 is input power and the 24 is the output. If you don't have proper output power but have proper input then you would replace the transformer. If both check ok then replace the control board.

JJS, " F2-E6 > CANCEL key drive line open > 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection. 2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 sec., replace keypad. 3. Replace control." With the error code and the display fading the control WPW10438750 is the most likely issue at this point.

Al, You are most likely correct, but you may want to test the control power transformer first. Primary winding (red to red wires) 75 to 95 ohms resistance and secondary winding (blue to blue wires) 2 to 4 ohms. If the control board does need to be repaired, your best option is the contact the manufacturer, and inquire who they reccomend or contact: Corecentric Solutions 175 Wall St. Glendale Hts, Il 60139-1956. APP would have no information in regards to cost, process or procedures, there is no association between the two corporations.

Isabelle for Model Number YGBD307PDB7

I have a double oven model YGBD307PDB7 and I had the error F2E6. It beeps once in a while and I can still turn on the light. I dont know what part I have to change. When I press on the keys, some beeps, some dont. I dont have anything written on the board anymore. Sometimes I am able to start the top oven, sometimes not. Once it is started, I cant always turn it off. Is it the control panel AP3043893 or the microcomputer AP4954245? If it is the microcomputer, do they still make it because it is not available on your site. thanks

1 Answer

Isabelle, The error code F2 E6 indicates an issue in the Keypad/ control panel WP8300440. " F2 E6 - CANCEL key drive line open - 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection. 2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 sec., replace keypad. 3. Replace control." Based on your post description, you want to start by checking or replacing the control panel, it's the likeliest issue, at this point. Thanks
