John R. January 23, 2012 for Model Number mbd4650aww My washer starts the cycle, fills with water and then runs for a while, then shuts off---- no lights on and water in the bottom.
1 Answer Hi John. Remove the lower kick panel. Turn off powered and see if the junction box wires are loose connections. If you do not find this, then from there power goes up to the door switches. There are 2 - switches one for the white wire (neutral) feed and the other id the black wire positive feed. Both of them need to close for operation. Look with a flashlight to see if the rear legs are completely down touching the floor. This insures that the door stays latched during a cycle. Use a ohm meter to see if you have a faulty switch not opening and closing while toggling it. Meter part # TJMA-12815A. Door switch part # WP99002751. Door latch assy part # WPW10130695. Look at the door latch body to see if the door handle or the outer pivots are broken off the latch. If so then look at the back of the control panel to see if the latch V-receivers are broken. If so the control panel will need to be replaced also. It is part # 6-919090. This is a direct indication of a installation issue. Level the unit front to back and side to side. Use the installation guide with your use and care manual. -- Read More...
Dan November 19, 2011 for Model Number mdc4650aww I push the cycle select button but none of the cycle lights come on but the heated dry light will turn on. If i push start/cancel the the dishwasher will start to run but the detergent dispenser doesnt open. Is the control board bad? This is a MAYTAG MDC4650AWW, he have bought parts from you before. Thanks
1 Answer Dan, The more likely issue is the control panel/keypad assembly 6-919090 . You can tetst the keys by removing the lower access panel and kickplate, You should find the wiring diagram and tech sheet attached to the backside, and can tetst the ribbons and buttons with a multimeter, to be sure. here's some meter usage information [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html] Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Jim November 04, 2011 for Model Number MDB4650AWW SERIAL 10697132EL My dishwasher has no lights showing on the control panel at all. There is power going thru door safety switches to board. Tested with volt meter and there is power to control board.Pushed all buttons on control panel but nothing happens. How can you tell what is bad and what to replace?. Someone said there might be a recall for this model. Can you tell from the serial number? Thanks Jim
1 Answer Hi Jim. The control board would need changed as you have lost all commands. The part # is 12002713. The key pad is a series of switches opening and closing telling the board which circuit to use. Since all is inoperative, then it will be the board. The manufacturer does not alert us @ any recalls per say. You can contact them to see if you qualify. Thank You. Read More...
Albert B. October 19, 2011 for Model Number adb1500aww2 For a few weeks now had to reprogram Amana dishwasher before use. Yesterday had a power outage and since then only heavy wash appears as option and nothing works when I hit start. Turned off power for a few minutes to see if things would reset but nothing. Would I need a new control board and if so which one. My serial number is NY1116644 I believe. Also number E71195 TYPE 777-0 is on tag. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Albert. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel 6-919800 is bad and will need to be replaced. If the buttons do not work, but there is lights, the control board is good. Hope this helps. Read More...

Will June 07, 2011 for Model Number MDC4650AWW I asked the questions below and was told I needed to provide the serial number for my unit in order to receive a correct answer. First, thank you for your quick response to my questions. Secondly - NY3221039. Thank you, Will "The diagram for my dishwasher shows part #7 as the Control Board, but in the parts list there are three parts shown for #7 - AP4009643, AP4114077, & AP4379891 (all three have different prices and all say they are for my model). Two of the three parts have pictures and appear to be the same part with minor color differences. All of the components on the circuit board are the same, it has the same number and location of connectors, etc. My questions are whether there are any significant differences between the parts and how do I determine which is best for my model?"
1 Answer Hello Will. According to the model and serial number you provided, 12002713 is the correct control board. Hope this helps. Read More...
