John R. for Model Number mbd4650aww My washer starts the cycle, fills with water and then runs for a while, then shuts off---- no lights on and water in the bottom.
Answer Hi John. Remove the lower kick panel. Turn off powered and see if the junction box wires are loose connections. If you do not find this, then from there power goes up to the door switches. There are 2 - switches one for the white wire (neutral) feed and the other id the black wire positive feed. Both of them need to close for operation. Look with a flashlight to see if the rear legs are completely down touching the floor. This insures that the door stays latched during a cycle. Use a ohm meter to see if you have a faulty switch not opening and closing while toggling it. Meter part # TJMA-12815A. Door switch part # WP99002751. Door latch assy part # WPW10130695. Look at the door latch body to see if the door handle or the outer pivots are broken off the latch. If so then look at the back of the control panel to see if the latch V-receivers are broken. If so the control panel will need to be replaced also. It is part # 6-919090. This is a direct indication of a installation issue. Level the unit front to back and side to side. Use the installation guide with your use and care manual. -- Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, January 26, 2012
