My Maytag dishwasher (model# MDBH950AWB) has a bad control panel. I inadvertenly ordered part # 6-919806 - of course the actual replacement part # is 6-917726. Are these parts interchangeable? Thanks

Steve, Unfortunately, No, they are not interchangeable. They are somewhat "identical" physically, but the keypad tracers and circuits are different. You really don't want to take a chance, and install the incorrect part.

My MDB4651AWB dishwasher suddenly wont display any lights to the front panel, and wont turn on. I have confirmed both door switches are functional with a multimeter. Is there any way to identify if the faulty component is the front panel, or the electronic control board?

Hello Nate. Test for power to the control board. If it is there, you will need to replace the control panel 6-919806 on the unit.

My child pulled the front panel off which pulled the connection cable from the panel. Do I need to replace the entire panel or can I get it connected and working again.

Hi, I tested the two door switches as you suggested. Without the actuator pressed, at a scale of Rx1, I read 0 ohms and when I press the acutator I get infinity. This is the case with both switches. That means they are still working, right? So only choice is to replace the control panel AP4364553? Thank you.

First, the control panel options setting started responding, but you could select still select Heavy, Normal, Light Cycle and start the machine (with or without delay). Now, you can select Heavy, Normal, or Light, but when you press Start/Cancel the wash doesn't start. Is the control board the likely culprit?

Hello Kel. Test the door switches WP99002751 and make sure they are good. If so, you will need to replace the control panel 6-919806. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Kel, No, the control board is the last option, you need to start at the control panel / key pad assembly 6-919806. Occasionally, you can dismantle the control assembly, clean the insertion end of the touchpad ribbon with alcohol, and re insert it on the control board, and the dishwasher will work for a while. You may want to give it a try. Good Luck.

My buttons light up but I cannot switch cycles or even start one. I believe that my Control Panel is bad, but not for sure. I have already had it replaced once! Wondering what might be causing this to go out for the SECOND time!
