Belita August 08, 2012 for Model Number Whirlpool dryer LE5705XPW1 Can I get instructions on how to attach the lint screen cover.
1 Answer Belita, The cover is held to the top of the dryer by two(2) "plastic" hinges WPW10044470 and WPW10044480 If they are missing, you will need to order them as well. The hinges "snap" into the openings in the dryer top panel nearest the control panel. If the hinges are there, you will need to remove the filter, then remove the two(2) screws holding the housing to the top panel, and raise the top of the dryer. You'll need a pair of needle nose pliers to press in on the "snaps and remove one of the hinges, install the cover on the hinges and press the hinge back into the opening until it "snaps" and locks in place.
