This is a Whirlpool control board intended for use with dishwashers. The control board is a critical component of the dishwasher as it controls the cycles and functions, including the draining and drying cycles. Control boards are subject to wear and tear that can render them ineffective and require them to be replaced prior to the standard lifecycle of the appliance. Unplug the dishwasher from both the power and water sources before attempting to replace the control board to prevent serious electrocution injuries. Work gloves should also be worn. This OEM control board has been sourced from the manufacturer and is compatible with dishwashers from Whirlpool, Maytag, Kitchenaid, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, and other brands. This part has been made from high-quality, durable, non-corrosive materials and is only sold individually.

Bob C, Based on the description given I would check the tech sheet packaged with the machine to see if the light combination is listed as an error code when flashing. The light staying on dimly is likely a board issue.

On two occasions, I've been unable to start the dishwasher .. buttons are unresponsive. I don't believe control lock was on. I thought it might be the door latch switch, but I've now discovered I can power cycle the breaker, and it becomes responsive again. Next time it happens I plan to make really sure control lock wasn't set. If it isn't, would the control board be a good place to start? I can't think of anything else that would be fixed by a power cycle. Thanks!

Kevin, The issue with the unit control not starting and working after a power cycle then this would most likely be a faulty control panel.

My dishwasher is working fine, except the dishes aren’t drying like they used to. I noticed the heatdry blue light will not illuminate when the button is pushed. I ordered a heat element from y’all and installed the element . After installation I ran a cycle completely through. The dishwasher seemed to dry the dishes the best I can tell, but when I pushed the heatdry cycle button it still does not illuminate. Wondering what the issue could be ? Thanks Pat.

Pat, If the unit is heating then it sounds like the LED for the control panel may have burnt out and would need to replace the control panel.
