Rory D Fairfield , CA May 18, 2020 Appliance: Model KITCHENAID KUDE60HXSS0 Our dishwasher would not start. A bit of searching on the internet narrowed the problem down to either the heating element or the control board. As I am not much of a diagnostician I decided to replace both. Along this same line, I would never have attempted these repairs if it hadn't been for the clear, easy to understand repair videos provided for each part. Further, my decision to do my own repairs was made easier because the prices of the parts was so reasonable. I took my time, reviewed the videos and replaced the heating element, the control board and the soap dispenser all in just a bit over an hour. There were no special tools needed and no special skills. The dishwasher is a bit large so you might want someone to help you if you need to lay it on its side. I figure i saved a little over $400.00 by not just buying a replacement dishwasher. Mary V Wheaton , IL August 04, 2015 Kenmore elite dishwasher would suddenly go into cancel mode on its own and then shut down Installed a new control board, which fixed the problem. But in our case the control board was behind the front stainless steel trim panel of the door. And we needed torx screwdrivers of different sizes to remove the trim panel. Regarding repair difficulty, I'd say that in some cases (like ours) one would have to know a bit about appliances in order to attempt this himself. Read More... William L Dundee , NY October 08, 2019 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDE60FXWH3 Some of the functions no longer worked and it had to be power cycled once a week to work at all. I watched the very helpful video and followed along. My biggest problem was finding a T15 driver, second biggest was juggling the front panel while starting the screws to reassemble. Everything works, maybe better than new and hopefully I won't need to reboot the machine every week any more. Read More...
