For Whirlpool Dishwasher Detergent And Rinse Aid Dispenser (Part Number: OEM18117279)

Marie, the soap tablet will drop early in the cycle, in fact, some people drop the tablet directly into the tub and don't use the dispenser. I would be concerned about the lack of a good wash. Is there enough water going into the tub? Are all the spray arms turning?

Tim for Model Number WDT910SAYM3

I need some guidance on what I really need to replace. I have noticed that when opening the dishwasher after it sits that rinse aid appears to be leaking from the cap and also from the weep hole for the dispenser. I also noticed that in the past when I would fill the dispenser that the cap would have some suction to it when you went to remove it for refilling. I notice now that this is the not case. So I am not sure if I just need to order a new cap or whether I need to just go a head and replace the whole dispenser unit. How can I troubleshoot to determine whether it is just a bad cap or the whole dispenser unit is bad?

Tim, the dispenser should not leak from the cap or any other weep holes, I would replace the dispenser assembly, part number is W11032769

Judy, you will need to take the outer door panel off to get in behind the dispenser, there are some small screws that hold it in to the inner panel.
