Matt November 07, 2017 for Model Number 11047512602 What are the dimensions for this hose (length, diameter at opening/close, etc.)? Also, is there a longer version for sale? If not, is the best/only option to buy two and attach them? My original is about 6' long given the space it's in, and now has a decent-sized hole in it near where it attaches close to the pump. We wouldn't recommend two(2) kits to repair or replace a washer drain hose. Kc4 November 11, 2016 for Model Number mhw5100dw The hose is filled with stagnant, slimey water and I feel that it's not draining properly in turn causing the clothes to smell awful no matter what soap or setting I choose. What can I do to remedy this? Does the hose need to have a loop in it?
1 Answer KC4, The hose does not need to have a loop in it and there will be water that will still be in the unit. The best thing to do is clear all the water that it in it at this time and then run a clean cycle about 1 time a month to help keep the build up from occuring. There is a product called affresh which is part number W10549845 that is for cleaning washers and will help to get rid of the musky odor from it. Also when the unit is not in use do not shut the door completely allowing air to be able to get into the unit and dry it out. Read More...
