Jim December 31, 2016 for Model Number GEW9200LW1 I have a Whirlpool Duet dryer model #GEW9200LW1 and would like to switch the hinge from the right to the left side. Can't I just switch the handle and hinge without a kit? What excactly does the kit provide?
1 Answer Jim, Yes, you will need the 8530070 / 3979304. The door is configured for a right hand hinge and handle. When you reverse the interior of the door, the hinge cover and handle will not fit or configure properly. Pat August 29, 2016 I have a Whirlpool duet dryer that is hinged on the left (handle is on the right). I need to reverse it. I am assuming that it is in the reversed position now and I need to return it to the original configuration. Is that correct? If so, is there a kit available to do that since I have no spare parts.
