Jim for Model Number GEW9200LW1 I have a Whirlpool Duet dryer model #GEW9200LW1 and would like to switch the hinge from the right to the left side. Can't I just switch the handle and hinge without a kit? What excactly does the kit provide?
Answer Jim, Yes, you will need the 8530070 / 3979304. The door is configured for a right hand hinge and handle. When you reverse the interior of the door, the hinge cover and handle will not fit or configure properly.
