Arnieo January 07, 2012 for Model Number sdg515daww Moisture sensor light previously would display alternately between more and less moisture. Now only displays less and cloths do not dry fully. Should I replace the display or is there another cause?
1 Answer Arnieo, The first place to start is the moisture sensor bar(s) 503625, located in the drum, on the front bulkhead, under the lint screen grid. With some alcohol, and a rag or toothbrush, clean both the metal strips and area, then check the light and operation. If the problem persists, then repalce the dryness display board WP33002389. Jimi September 16, 2011 for Model Number MDE3500AYW Maytage Dryer- Runs heats up (all cycles) just won't advance. I replaced the entire Timer assembly including skirt and knob but nothing changed. Could it be the dryness control. or is there something else I could check? Thanks for your help
2 Answers Jimi, First check and make sure you have a neutral connection to the dryer and the white wire at the dryness control board. Also check the brown wire from the display board to the timer motor terminal on the timer. If you have the circuits on the wires, then replace the dryness control board.
