Greg November 19, 2011 for Model Number mdb7609awb2 well the dishwasher stopped working and the clean light was flashing so upon further inspection found that the burner was burned through near the point of insertion in the tub so i ordered a new burner installed it and the clean light still blinks and the dishwasher still does not work by the way the clean light is yellow in color and blinks 7 times. any answers thank you
1 Answer Greg, You still have an issue in the heater circuit. " PROBLEM: Stopped Running, Will Not Start and Clean LED Blinks 7 Times, then Repeats (Water Heating Fault). Control is programmed to stop running and not allow any further cycles if it detects a water heating problem (no temperature increase detected in heated Main Wash on 3 consecutive cycles). Control blinks the Clean LED 7 times repeatedly and disables the Start/Resume key until cleared. Heater circuit problem: Open in heater. Open connection or component in heater circuit. Faulty heater drive circuit on control. Try resetting the control first : NOTE 1. To invoke the Diagnostics Cycle, perform the following key presses or actions in less than 6 sec. while in standby: Heated Dry ? Normal ? Heated Dry ? Normal . Allow the control to advance through the complete test mode, to OFF. Then check for proper program and operation. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Warren August 23, 2011 for Model Number 66516262402 I have replaced the heating elemet, contol board and thermister to repair based on the information I found. The unit seems to be working properly now but the indicator lights on the front panel are not working as they used to. Smart wash indicator does not come on as well as the clean light once a cycle is completed. Delay option setting of 2, 4 or 6 hours will only light up on the 6 but not function as designed. Can the old baord be reinstalled and or would it even help? Thank you
1 Answer Hi Warren. Based on your question, It wont hurt to try to self- diagnose and try to put the old board on. If the Issue's clear, then you will need to have the control board replaced/ exchanged. But I think you either did not have the control panel put in correctly with the ribbon cable connection or the control panel needs replaced. This part # is WP8558957. Thank you. Read More...
Van B. June 01, 2011 for Model Number 665.17059402 Green clean light flashing, checked heater element it is good. have not checked thermostat hi-limit yet.
1 Answer Hello Van. You will need to check the thermostat WP661566. It should read closed for continuity. It is located under the bottom of the dishwasher. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
